We went to the Westlake Grill earlier in July for the first time, to celebrate our anniversary, on the recommendation by a friend. It was amazing! Great food, wonderful service (special thanks to our server Pamela), lovely venue.......a lunch to always remember! Thank you so much. We'll be back. Cheers, L&R

My husband and I booked in for the couples date night in late August..and even booked in for an extra night at the hotel. The communication with the heritage ranch was terrific. They responded to my emails and calls super fast and answered all my questions. The carriage ride was great! Relaxing and perfect. Dinner was fantastic. I HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone. We will definitely come back. I can't thank them enough in making our 5 year anniversary the most wonderful experience ❤

This spot has the best all around experience in town. It's got a variety of unique entertainment and food thats second to none .
It's a beautiful place to enjoy the walking trails , if you love horses, there'll be plenty of gorgeous ones along the way .
I like to local relaxing atmosphere, nice to see a business supporting other local businesses . Great sense of community and friendly staff .
The Westlake Grill is an excellent restaurant, such a nice evening there , delicious food , wonderful servers. They have some nice wines that I've enjoyed . Love the garden fresh vegetables . Kids enjoy eating there too .
The winter night lights are gorgeous and the sleigh rides are defiantly one of my favourite activities there. The country setting is refreshing in the city. Great place for solo /guests/kids/dates.
Highly recommend , great go to , real treat in town . Love the pies and thanksgiving dinner too . Thanks everyone .

I always enjoy going to the restaurant. The atmosphere is lovely and comfortable. A beautiful wood fireplace.
I hope my review is heard as constructive.
I feel the prices are expensive but if the food reflects the price I am happy to pay.
I had the mushroom ravioli and I was polite and said it was interesting when asked how it was . I had had it there before and it was delicious....this was different...interesting...not what I had hoped.
I think in being a ranch atmosphere sometimes artist endeavors might be lost on most palletes.
Simple, home made , handcrafted traditional food will always win and it can still be classy.

Truly sorry that the ravioli did not meet your expectations. Some people love it and some... not so much. We have reviewed everything and I'm sure you will be happy with the new menu, new brunch menu and reduced pricing at lunch. See you again soon

I went to heritage ranch today with my three kids . I will not return . I have been there many times and the food and service has always been great . Today my kids had burnt fries and I had burnt Alix chips . I complained to the waitress who then argued with me telling me that’s how they cook the fries to which I responded burnt ? I said I have been coming here a long time and this is the first time they have been burnt . Once again she argued with me that it was the type of potatoes which she said was a red skinned potatoe. We asked for refills on drinks twice she didn’t come back . The owners son came over and asked how our meal was and by this time I was angry . Told him about the fries and he said the potatoes are Yukon potatoes , and he said yes they were in fact burnt ! My kids didn’t eat anything . I proceeded to get up to pay and the owners son did take the fries off my bill big deal . I said for the price I paid I could have went to the keg and got a good meal ! I asked the owners son what potatoes he said he told me and than I said hmm she said they were this potatoe and he even told her they were burnt . She said no . The fact that she argued with me was good enough . First time I’ve ever had that snarky of a waitress. She started to fill up cups of pop to go because he went and told her how she didn’t return . I said why would I want pop to go ! I told them I would not return ever again . Did they sound like they cared ? Nope ! Called sadly and talked to the owner . All he said was I told them not to use those potatoes that was it ! He knows who we are that we go there a lot but guess he doesn’t care . I told him I had to go to wendies to buy my kids food that wasn’t burnt ! We haven’t been out for almost two years because of COVID and this is how we get treated snd our food is burnt ! Sorry but I have never been that angry ! I might be one person but I know a lot of people . Don’t waste your money they obviously didn’t care ! Go to a place to actually has some pride !

We booked a package for my birthday back in march. And although they knew i was vegan, the menu was very poor. So poor, that i was not eatable. No refund, no appology, no wine on the house. Nothing despite telling them that the main course was unacceptable. Seems to have very poor management. Not to mention the chef...

It has a lot going for it. It is the only place in Red Deer with ambiance and a beautiful outdoor setting. It could be fantastic with a few changes. I have had great meals there but lately it is a reflection of the poor economy and putting out dismal meals. Let's hope they recover and can put out top notch dining

Sorry to here your review on us. We've pulled up our boot straps and created a brand new menu, new brunch menu and reduced some pricing where we could on our lunch menu. Thanks for the kick in the butt

If you are an adventurous couple, you have to try this, also told good for groups. A most interesting Saturday, despite the rain. My wife and I participated in “Mantracker” or equivalence, chased down by cowboy and horse named Hummer. The challenge is to get as many flags as possible, located in 4 random location on the ranch marked on a map; we managed to get two. There was a verity of wild life, even though its early spring; the deer were particularly spectacular, fast and sure footed, unlike myself when thundering through the bush. We would definitely do this again.
After the chase, and capture, we had an early dinner. The restaurant atmosphere was great, combo coyboy and rustic cabin and chateau. We had there signature steak dinner, cooked to exactly how we ordered. I believe they infuse the steak with beer and Jack Daniels, the potato chips are made in house, and fantastic. The view while eating is of the park and ranch, very nice, even in rain.
The process for booking was simple, the staff was very friendly, welcoming, and our “mantracker” (named Joel, not sure if there is more then one tracker) was a super friendly cowboy, with a nice smile and a twinkle in his eye as he road us down! (I kid, it was only slightly terrifying as the horse charged through the bush to nap us). Lots of parking.

Had our Christmas party here for 30 people , the atmosphere hasn’t changed in years, the turkey was cooked days before , potatoes appeared that way to , one salad was really good it had fruit and nuts on it, the other seemed to be Caesar but the dressing for it was Awful mayo with liquid smoke taste horrible , dressing was soggy, the deserts ,shot glasses with graham crust then old whip cream on top , some square that was dried right up , it seemed we got someone’s left over buffet ,well it sucked , wont ever return .

Awesome fresh food. Kind servers and timely, non intrusive. Warm atmosphere. Some entrees/specials are pricey. Risottos are excellent. Veggies are organic and local. Chocolate mousse cake for our celebration was outstanding.
