Yeah...stopped in as I wandered the small town of Chemanius. The store has a cute exterior that makes you want to step inside. Yeah...not so much. Nothing special in there and while I walked the aisles to see what chocolate confections I might find (very little choice and nothing noteworthy) the guy was telling a customer about his sugar free... A treat for everyone can be found here. Candy from years ago from when I was a kid even and even "mystery Boxes" where they are filled with candy and the odd one has actual "Chemainus Dollars" in them. Daughter has found a $5 and a $1 which brings her back time after time again. Shop owners are super friendly... More

If you cannot find your memory from childhood candy here, it probably does not exist! With an eye to our favourites from bygone eras, H & G AND the Christmas Shop are chalk-a-block full of the past and the future by way of taste and decor. Definitely head on up any time of the year to enjoy a blast from... More

The photograph take for this store is a location that everyone can enjoy Christmas items! We have been coming here for years & it's a great store where you can purchase a nice variety of seasonal things! Owners are very helpful & friendly plus you can find some very unique Christmas decorations! Sorry on candy to be found here!

This place will take you back to your childhood when you ate all those treats that your children now are in awe of. Try the painted chocolate truffles and the selection of liquorice. You won't be able to leave the place! Now I know why it's called Hansel and Gretel's!

This store was something else. Not quite the style i like (i felt like i couldn't pick anything up since it was all on glass shelfs ) but that is preference. The theme was super cute and over done in a good way. The lady who was working was like and cartoon character you could tell she loved to do... More

I visit this store a few times a year as they have the best selection of ornaments I've ever seen. I like to add an ornament to each XMAS gift and can always find something unique and appropriate for everyone on my list.

We could not resist looking in this beautiful old candy shop. Although we must watch our sugar intake, we could not resist tasting a few treats and especially loved the old style English candy. We left with a small treat bag for ourselves, and more sizeable gifts to take home to our grand-children.

Great place to find an old favourite of candy that brings you back to child hood days. Great selection of bon bons. Located on a very quaint main street in Chimainus. Great staff willing to give out samples

This is an absolutely adorable little shop. Less gingerbread and more Halloween type decor. Lots of English style bon bons and various black licorices. The chalk one is quite unique and delicious. My boss had me stop in Chemainus just to go to this shop to supply his family's bon bon fix. I also picked up some specialty chocolates. The... More
