Always a great place to visit. The exhibitions of the big mechanics that were used to take down the trees are fascinating. The woodworking displays in the interactive area for children are great too. Always the highlight though, is the train ride, it's just great to go through the woods and then over the large bridge over the marsh. Highly... More

This is a unique facility. Started in the 60's, they were able to preserve logging equipment that would have been lost to the scrap heap. Their collection of 100+ year old steam locomotives is amazing. Everywhere you look, you will see something that is now rare. They preserve a bygone era, the industry that founded British Columbia.

Good parking and useful to have the Tourist Information centre on the site. Very interesting displays and child friendly. New walkways have been made and more disable friendly than our last visit. Couple of things though - there needs to be a commentary whilst on the train ride. There were undoubtedly interesting things to see but unable to place the... More

It happen when we visit, one of the steam engine having a birthday party. This place is more for train enthusiasts. My boys get all excited looking at some of the steam engines.

The forest industry is seen in a historical as well as present-day context. The explanations of the site and of the forest industry are good and offer fascinating insights. The steam train should please all children and many adults. The walks are peaceful and informative. Our 14-year old guest really enjoyed himself.

Good times had by all! Visited as part of a large group with lots of kids, and everyone enjoyed themselves. It was around Christmas time and there was visits with Santa, a musician sang songs and the kids all joined in, it was wonderful. Really enjoyed the train ride around too.

Took my 2 grand children here today and after the train ride the rest was not enough to hold their interest for very long. They should have recorded voice giving explanations at each exhibit. We spent a couple of hours here and saw everything and we were all done. ( Kids are 8 & 10 ). For the price they... More

This is a great place to bring the kids and the whole family. Ride the train around the area and then check out all the exhibits. Great bunch of volunteers restoring these old steam trains and machines. Well done.

Fantastic spot for family outing, especially if you like trains. The old logging steam engines are running all day for trips around the property. Great picnic site and very good logging museum. We love it there, and the kids just get so excited to ride the trains.
