The beach was great for the kids and lots of shallow water for them to splash around in. There are lots of areas to walk to next to the lake so even if really busy, people are spread out and it doesn't seem as bad.

I was looking forward to introducing camping to several of my friends whom never camped in their life. We brought our own firewood and kindle from our homes so we didn't have to buy firewood at the campground. However the park ranger pretty much ruined...More

Drove there as a last minute find. Very serene, picturesque, kayak, etc rentals. A hidden gem. We arrived around 3pm and it was a great drive with natural surroundings, definitely recommend a trip there.

We visited in April and tried to catch fish. No luck, but also no people, which was nice. Didn't swim. Dirt road access was quite potholed.

Tried walking the lake side trail, but it wasn't by the lake, more in the forest. Dropped down to the lake beach at the first camp site we came to (walking in a clockwise direction). A beautiful setting, with no other people around. Returned to...More

Great adventure with my friend ! Perhaps fairly early on in the season after a 'wild winter' - had to cross a stream and take our shoes off to continue the trail at one point ?deeper water due to more rain ?, some dodgy paths...More

My husband and I have done this walk a few times with our dog. It's easy and family friendly. A great afternoon out.

It is the same cost as most provincial parks. It is usually booked up, but I'm so sorry, if you don't see it on the website, then just try to google Hicks Lake and see what comes up? Check under Sasquatch Park perhaps?? Good... More
