Nice park in Kamloops. Has a garden that attracts butterflies in season. Has a semi pro baseball field (20$ ticket, a little pricey). Lawn bowling, skate park, little league and bantam baseball fields.

I love to walk around this park. there are many sports fields here, There is a golf course and a smattering of benches available to sit and rest along your walk, If you are lucky you may see some wildlife in the form of Canada geese or marmots.

It's a shame that through the fault of a few ruins it for the masses. I like to go out for a walk with my dad, my daughter and my granddaughter and Mac island is central for us and a nice flat walk for my dad but unfortunately our poor dogs have to wait at home as dogs are not allowed. I find this rule borderline insane as the fields and walk ways are so laden with geese droppings that it is impossible to walk without stepping in it.....I don't see the city caring too much about this mess so why complain about the dogs.......

There's a nice paved trail around Macarthur Island Park. It's great for walkers, joggers, rollerbladers, or bikes. On the western end there's a butterfly garden, a pitch and putt golf course, and of course, many baseball diamonds. In the middle are many soccer fields. On the eastern end there's a hockey rink. At the north east corner along the trail you might be able to see a few marmots that live on the river bank. I wouldn't venture too far - the ground here has loose gravel and rocks.
A nice place to relax, watch a few kids soccer or baseball games or to go for a stroll by the river.
