We were picked up at our hotel on time and in a large, clean, air conditioned van with the company logo. The driver was personable, professional and knowledgeable explaining the sights and pointing out things of interest along the way. We did the self guided 24k ride from Myra Station to Ruth Station and return. It was spectacular! The trail is flat and well maintained, an easy ride, in fact it must be an optical illusion because it appears to be downhill both ways! They set you up with good bikes, water and a granola bar. The trail is straight forward enough that a guide is not required but we did notice that a guided tour we observed were getting a whole lot of sights pointed out and explained that the average rider would miss. The views are amazing and there are many benches and overlook areas to stop, stare and enjoy a snack, but watch out for the chipmunks, habituated and aggressive. They can and will nip you! There are historical plaques and signage to stop and read. Honestly, it’s mind boggling to think of what it took to build that railway back in the day. At a leisurely pace the ride took 4 hours. The staff are ever so friendly and helpful. Shout out to Keith who was so happy to chat and direct us to bike trips closer to home.
You can just tell that these folks will do anything in there power to ensure you have a safe and fantastic ride.

Thanks for taking the time to write such a positive and thoughtful review. It is always nice to hear that our clients have enjoyed their time riding the Myra Canyon Trail. It really is an amazing place to ride and so close to Kelowna! Our company takes a lot of pride trying to ensure that our clients have the best experience they can at Myra and I will relay this message to all the staff. As for me, it really was my pleasure meeting you and chatting about other great rides in BC. I hope that you are able to visit some of those places (and you can always come back to Myra Canyon). Thanks again.

Fantastic excursion and family friendly. Amazing views and an easy 2ish hr pedal over trusles and through tunnels. On our rental, one of our party members got injured on the trail and Myra Bike Rentals sent Ben, the most caring man out to our aid. With the help of Kelowna fire and BCAS she received some stitches and recovered beside our hotel pool for the rest of the day. Ben stayed with the remaining people of our group to make sure we made it to the parking lot safely when he could have easily rode ahead with our friends bike. His kindness and support we received on this trail will not soonly be forgotten.

I was more than happy to assist you and your group after the unfortunate injury. Myra Canyon truly is a spectacular place to visit and it is always great to hear how much people have enjoyed the ride, but safety is always our most important concern. I will certainly pass on your thanks to our employees to reinforce their preparedness in the event of a mishap. Glad to hear about the "pool-side" recovery and that all ended well. And once again I was happy to help. Thank you for your kind words, Ben

My boyfriend and I were independently cycling the KVR and were about 12 kms from Myra when my boyfriends bike had a catastrophic wheel failure after hitting a rock. We figured our trip was over as a new wheel was needed. We walked to Myra hoping to get help, expecting to have to go into Kelowna. We told one of the staff of the Myra Canyon Bike Rentals, who turned out to be Jo, the son of the owner of the company, of our situation. Our bike was an older, 21 speed with 26 inch wheels. Jo said he happened to have put a similar bike in the van that morning and went to get the wheel from that bike. It was a perfect match! We asked if we could buy it and he said yes. We fitted the wheel and all was good. We went back to Jo to ask how much the wheel would cost. We clearly had no bargaining room, and were just happy to be able to continue with our trip as planned, so would have been happy to give whatever he asked.
Jo would not accept any money for the wheel. He said the biking community helps each other out, and wished us a good trip.
What a wonderful and generous gesture! Thank you so much for this unexpected amazing experience and for the reminder that there are good, kind people around! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

We are so glad that we were able to assist you. You are more than welcome. Jo is a very accomplished bike mechanic and biking enthusiast and knows the unexpected can happen at the worst times. He was more than happy to assist a biking comrade in distress. I will pass along a big thanks to him on your behalf. Glad it all worked out. Thanks.

We rented bikes for four hours to do the 24 km Myra Canyon trail. The online reservation system was easy, and the bikes were tagged and ready for us when we got there. The staff at check in and drop off were helpful, explaining the gears and the trail etiquette.

The trail itself was fantastic. Flat and wide, over 18 trestles and through 2 tunnels. There can be some waiting at the trestles as they are one-way - if someone is on them coming towards you, you wait until they have crossed before you start across. I'd recommend coming in the morning, as it gets busy and there is more waiting in the afternoon, even on a weekday.

We would definitely do this trail and rent bikes from this company again.

This was such a fun activity for a morning in the Kelowna area. We arrived a little later than our starting rental time, however the team members still gave us 4 hours with the bikes. The views are stunning, the bike ride is easy (very flat!) and there are lots of guard rails on the tressels to keep you safe. We did the 12km bike (24km out-and-back) in about 2.5 hours with stops along the way for photos. When we arrived the trails were very quiet, due to the bad weather and possibly because it was day 2 of the season. By the time we returned the bikes, the trails were starting to get busy with lots of people walking along the tressels. The walkers may end up slowing you down if you're on the bikes since common curtesy dictates waiting for others to get off the bridge before you cross it. I would rent bikes again with Myra Canyon Bicycle Rental to view the park!

“Thank you very much for your review and feedback. Yes, we agree, that the visit to the Myra Canyon trail is always a memorable and impressive experience. At any weather and time of the year, this historic site, offers stunning wooden and steel trestles with history signs of how they build those bridges and also 2 tunnels in the early 1900s. We are happy to hear that our staff was able to help you out with our rental bikes and encourage everybody to take advantage of our services to enjoy a beautiful bicycle ride on this flat trail outdoors.”

I just wanted to say thank-you for accommodating our group of 16 people. Myra Canyon Bicycle tour picked us up at the Cove Lakeside Resort and transported us to Chute Lake Lodge. From here we rode our rented bikes all the way to Naramata. Fun was had by all. I would highly recommend this company.

My friends and I rented bikes on our visit to Kelowna as we found Myra Canyon rentals and they were quick to reply to any inquires I emailed with and always answered any questions or concerns I had. Ben picked us up in their van and was great explaining sole history of the area and how/why him and his family started this rental business. So funny and awesome! We got there and the bikes and helmets were ready for us to go as soon as we got there. The sun was out with some clouds and about half way through the ride we had to use the ponchos as it started to rain, then hail and didn't stop as a big black cloud went overhead! We continued on to the end and about half way back to the beginning spot it was sunny again! We had a great time and have memories from driving through all sorts of weather!! Would highly recommend and will likely do again when I come back!

This was wonderful. The views, the restored trestles, the tunnels blasted from solid rock, all of it was stunning and interesting. Ben Vos, owner, guided me. Though the trails are all perfectly safe, they're up high and my bicycling skills have diminished and my acrophobia kicked in. I wanted to do as much of the tour as possible but I preferred to walk my bike and I felt a bit embarrassed. With absolute patience and sweetness, so my sense of comfort was restored, Ben said he would be happy to walk alongside me, which he did. I give the tour my highest rating and Ben my highest rating. He's a gentleman.

Thank you for taking your time to write such a detailed and kind feedback note and leaving an excellent rating for our business. Ben and Annelies Vos started the bicycle rental at Myra Canyon and run it together with their children as a family business ever since. They truly care about each visitor and client and make every effort to ensure an unforgettable experience. Thank you for visiting the Myra Canyon, a truly special place, offering beautiful nature, views, historic information on 18 wooden and steel trestles and 2 tunnels. A smooth and flat trail, this part of the KVR is worth a visit anytime!

I booked my tour very last minute as I really wanted to get to the Myra Canyon and I had no car, so this tour was perfect! They easily fitted me in and I got picked up straight from my hostel! I joined the tour with another couple and the guide was so great at introducing us, welcoming us and making us feel at home. He was so knowledgeable about the canyons and the route and was so easy to talk to. He was so kind and friendly to me and taught me so much about this region and it's employment opportunities! He made sure we learnt a lot and had a great bike ride but also that we got all the touristy pictures we could want! The bike ride was very nice and relaxing witj some incredible scenery.Thank you so much for going above and beyond to care for us and for making my solo trip to Kelowna so much more special! This would be a great family friendly trip!

This had been on my bucket list for a while. Booked the day b4. The road is dirt for about 8km and does have wash board and pot holes. We had a jeep but there were cars making the trip. Great staff. Very professional. Great equipment. You can't beat the experience. Wouldn't suggest for kids younger than 10 years old due to the trestles but we saw others with pretty young kids. Great trip.
