Having previously visited Kelowna in the colder winter months, we were really looking forward to a late summer sail on the lake. Captain Al did not disappoint. We spent a relaxing two hour cruise - spotting ospreys, looking for bighorn sheep, experiencing and listening to tales of the lake (a bear who visited the marina!). Our only disappointment was that we didn't have time for another sailing trip with Captain Al. But I'm sure we will be back!

I had never been on a sail boat cruise before and I am sure glad I chose this one and Captain Al had room for me. I had the pleasure of meeting Captain Al, his special Granddaughter Bella and sister Lynn.

We took off from the marina and went around the lake, with Captain Al telling us many stories of the lake, the homes, the tug boats (still working the lake) etc. I would highly recommend this sail boat cruise as they are very personable.

Thanks again.

We had the pleasure of riding with Al and his sister. Both very friendly people! We were given picture books and story after story. It was incredible the amount of stories and topics he knew about the lake. Most of the stories he tells even have pictures back it up. Al knows where lots of people live on the lake and the history of some of the houses. Such a neat experience. He even has drinks and snacks to top it off! Would recommend!!!

Captain Al was very professional with a ton of knowledge about the area. The boat was very clean and ready to go! I would recommend this to anyone near and far! He made us feel welcome and he also took a lot of photos which were perfect for the occasion!

This was a definite 10 out of 10!

Thanks Captain Al!

My husband and daughter were on a morning tour with Al. Al met us at the boat with a warm welcome. The weather was in our favour that we sailed and motored the lake. Al's knowledge and history of the area was impeccable. We had an opportunity to take the wheel. Al is a patient person. We would highly recommend this tour for everyone.
Thanks Captain Al.

What a fabulous way to see the area. We took a two hour trip and, although the weather wasn't great, that didn't spoil the adventure. Even though we'd just met Al, he was so friendly and informative it felt like we'd known him for a long time. Thank you for a marvelous morning on the lake.

Al took us out for a morning trip around the lake and it was SUPERB!
He has wealth of knowledge about the area and provides a great tour with humour and information about the area. His boat is beautiful and is the most comfortable way to tour the lake in style.
Al gives you the option to sail or motor on his boat and either way it is the most relaxing way to travel.

What an amazing experience on the lake with Al! It was fabulous to see his face light up as he told us some of the history of the lake.

Don’t let his humbleness fool you he is also an amazing photographer as well. If you have the opportunity ask to see some of his work!

We visited the Okanagan for the first time, during what appeared to be lake closures, flooding and icky weather. On our last full day we were looking for something to do, and trip adviser pointed us to Al and Go with the wind cruises. We called first thing in the morning and he could fit us in!

We are so happy he could.

Thank you so much Al for making what could have been a mediocre end of our trip into an amazing adventure.

Al you are a true professional and knowledgeable of the area!

We highly recommend you take a tour with Go with the Wind Cruises!

Taking a 'ride' in a sailboat has been on our bucket list for sometime. We picked the perfect captain and boat to do this on. Despite the smoke in the area from the forest fires, we thoroughly enjoyed our sail with Al. He has been in the area since 1970 and had great stories and lots of history about the area to share. We thoroughly enjoyed our two hours on the water with him and look forward to sailing again!

Within a day of our sail Al had emailed us photos of our time on the boat - and you can tell by the grins on our faces how much fun we were having!

Thanks for the memories, Al - Warmly - Janice and Harry
