Great host, knowledgable & personable

We had booked the VIP tasting outside but there no table available when we arrived for our appointment. Other than that, nice selection of reds, whites & rose. Our host was really knowledgable which makes a wine tasting much more interesting. Nice section of Pinot Noir, Riesling & Chard. Recommended.

Tantalus Vineyard was our favourite spot on two separate wine tours this past week. Michael hosted us and was very knowledgeable, entertaining and experienced on wine and the region.

Lovely views with fine wines!
Oct. 2019 • Couples
This picturesque winery whose focus is producing quality Chardonnay’s and Pinot’s in a picturesque setting. The winery representatives are a very valuable, underrated and sometimes under appreciated asset who provide history, knowledge and enhance our enjoyment of the winery experience. Sophia combined all of these attributes and more in helping to create a wonderful time at Tantalus! Their wines are well made and have great value from the Bear Chardonnay($19.13) Chardonnay($27.83), which we purchased, the Maija Pinot Noir($21.74) Pinot Noir($30.44), which we purchased to the Blanc de Blanc Sparkling($27.83). A worthwhile visit while on the Lakeshore wine route in Kelowna! Highly Recommend!

Fine wine, fabulous setting!
Sep. 2019
Visited Tantalus Vineyards in early September. The wine was wonderful, the entire tasting experience was fantastic. Friendly and informative staff. . Left there with 6 bottles of an award winning Pinot Noir, should have bought 6 cases! Can’t wait to return next year.

Favorite Okanagan winery visit
Sep. 2019 • Couples
The setting for Tantalus is high above the lake and there is a beautiful view of the surrounding area. The people there were friendly and welcoming and we tried several of their wines. We really enjoyed the Bear Chardonnay and their Pinot Noir and bought some to take with us.

During a stay in Kelowna we stopped at a few wineries. Tantalus was our favorite. Wonderful tasting room with a nice view. The staff was very friendly. The unoaked Chardonnay was our favorite and we bought several to enjoy on our journey to Banff.

A place to learn and enjoy
Sep. 2019 • Friends
Went to Tantalus Vineyards after passing a lot of other ones and thought this was the most beautiful property. Wanted to learn more about the process of wine making and what people think about when they go through the process of tasting wines. Didn’t try any ourselves, but we went to Mike at the front desk and asked him all about the process of wine making and we learned so much with Mike’s amazing attitude and clear passion for the business.

Beautiful and modern decor, small vineyard so the people working there have time to talk with you.

Would highly recommend to anyone who wants to spend a good time with great people!

First visit, not the last
Sep. 2019
When visiting this tasting room one would not draw comparisons in terms of size, decor and ambience to wineries such as Mission Hill, Cedar Creek and others.

However, if the point in visiting is to taste excellent wines then this is a place you should not miss. Staff are friendly and knowledgable.

I'm not going to discuss the attributes of the various wines as this is a highly subjective matter, but will say that in my opinion the oaked Chardonnay, Reisling and Pinot Noir are well worth the visit.
