This was our first beach experience in Kelowna and it was great! Beach was a bit far from the paid parking lots (park/field in between). There are washroom and changeroom facilities here. We managed to snag a shady spot on the beach so didn't need our umbrella. The sand is hot! In the water there are lots of sharp jagged rocks and my 6 year old cut the bottom of his foot one one - thankfully it didn't bleed to much.
This beach is a great location - close to waterfront and boardwalk that you can walk to. Or if you just feel like staying on the beach there was a volleyball net setup.
Family enjoyed our time here.

This lovely waterfront park is adjacent to the downtown Marina. It is a beautiful place for a leisurely stroll or activities such as swimming, sunbathing, watersports, beach volleyball etc. We also saw an inflated floating playground on the lake for the kids. The park offers a wonderful view of Okanagan Lake. There are a number of restaurants offering a wide choice of cuisines within walking distance. All in all, a great place to spend an afternoon or evening or the entire day.

Located adjacent to downtown Kelowna, this waterfront park is a beautiful place to walk around and spend a leisurely afternoon in or engage in diverse activities including swimming, sunbathing, watersports, beach volleyball etc. We found an added attraction this time – an inflated floating playground on the lake for the kids. This park has a nice boardwalk, lots of green space, and offers a wonderful view of Okanagan Lake along with the floating bridge. We were lucky to be with a flock of Canadian Geese wandering on the grass in a very close proximity.
Depending on the time (and date) of the year, various street performances can also be watched here viz. magic shows, music / dance performance, kids plays etc (we watched some during our earlier visit). A very enjoyable leisurely afternoon stroll in the park can easily be turned into a fun-filled evening with food and drinks as there are a number of restaurants and pubs offering a wide choice of cuisines within minutes of walking distance, mostly located on Bernard Avenue in downtown Kelowna. We really enjoyed spending our time here during our stay in Kelowna.

Lots of space for everyone to spread out safely while enjoying sand and lake! Shady spots and a playground make this ideal for everyone.

The park alongside the lake offers amenities for everyone: swimming, splash park for kiddies, tennis, jogging path, good clean washrooms and lots of grass for picnic areas. There are nice sandy beaches and an inflateable playground on the lake.
It’s a great place to spend the day with all the services you may need when spending the day lakeside. The walking path alongside the lake goes for quite a distance.

Lots of great spots to social distance on the grass. The place we found had a view of the beach one way and a lovely garden on the other. Seek hilltops!

We enjoyed our visit to the city park so much we went back for a night visit. So much to see and do. From people watching, to sightseeing, to water activities, to food trucks and if food trucks not to your liking a multitude of restaurants nearby! Unfortunately we visited just after an upswing in Covid cases amongst young people in Kelowna. After an enjoyable walk on the beach we ate at a close restaurant. But to get there we had to make our way through hundreds of young adults who acted as if they cared not one whit about adults who might be vulnerable! No social distancing, no masks etc. To put it mildly I was VERY uncomfortable! If you visit, remember your masks and be forewarned...parts of downtown Kelowna are jam packed.
