Nice waterfall hike!

This was a fairly simple hike with rewarding views. You drive up and park in the small lot just past the refinished barn. When starting the hike, that is where you walk to first... read more

This was a fairly simple hike with rewarding views. You drive up and park in the small lot just past the refinished barn. When starting the hike, that is where you walk to first. If you stay on the low land, you'll see the stream. To get to the waterfalls, you'll want to go up the trail on the hill.... More

Well it's a provincial park, so be prepared to pay if your camping overnight. Was a bit of a shocker when the camp host said we needed to pay 44 $ for a overnight stay for a 27 ft motorhome. And then extra for the car cause we didn't tow it in. We also of course had to pay 8$... More

A little underwhelming at these falls however the stair to the top were an awesome workout. The lake from the campground was very peaceful and the waterfront was nice and sandy.

We stumbled upon Fintry one day while we were out for a drive without really meaning to. We read the signs and wanted to see the falls, so we started up the stairs. And up and up and up we went! We didn't realize there were so many! But we enjoyed the little trek and the history that comes with... More

I recommend avoiding campsite #7 as there is a trail next to it that is the main access to the beach. Since this trail is unmarked and not fenced, you have drunks and ignorant people walking directly through your paid campsite 24/7. At one point I had six loud drunks standing right behind me, in my site, as I tried... More

We boated here with relatives who wanted to take us to the falls. Wow that was a lot of stairs to get to the top. But worth it very pretty area and nice on a hot day.

This campground is really nice. It can be very busy and difficult to get a spot but if you do it is worth it. The beach area is great and the water very clear for swimming! The camping spots are very nice and large enough! Make sure that you bring everything you need as the local shopping spots are not... More

Great provincial camping facility. Large campsites. Historic buildings, open on select dates. Good beach and launching ramp. Great for hiking and swimming. Location is a bit removed from services..., make sure you bring in enough food to last your stay.

I really find it funny how many people give a low rating to this place based on the mosquito population for that year/season. I don't get some people... Compared to most other camping sites/area's in the area Fintry is by far the best. Large site's, good beaches, nice facilities, and to top it off some really interesting history and sites... More
