- CWTOttawa, Canada338 contributionsGreat hikeWe arrived early and had no problem getting a parking spot. We took the Lower Apex trail to Paul’s Tomb. We followed this one all the way to the end and then backtracked to take Ogopogo (aka Gordon) up to the top. Our plan was to return via the Apex trail but we did not factor in that Apex is now one-way (covid) so we returned by the road. If I were to do it again, I would do it in reverse i.e. Apex to the top, Ogopogo to Paul’s Tomb and Paul’s Tomb back. Ogopogo was the only part with an ascent. This was a great hike with scenic views at the top of the lake and Kelowna.Visited October 2020Written October 19, 2020
- A7475ITwendys22 contributionsKnox Mtn. Never disappoints!Knox Mountain is a great place for a hike that can give you a good workout and nice views of the city. Lots of deer to see as well. Mountain bikers lime it too! My favourite route includes the Ogopogo trail. (On the Paul’s Tomb route)Steep but so worth it!Visited July 2020Travelled with friendsWritten July 6, 2020
- Petite-BouffantCalgary, Canada226 contributionsGreat hike & stunning views of the city!Knox Mountain Park is a 2km walk away from downtown. It is great to be so close to nature right in the city. We did an easy hike up Apex trail. The trail is one way and was quite busy. There are stunning look out points on the trail of the city, lake and surrounding mountains.Visited November 2020Travelled as a coupleWritten November 8, 2020

Best place to see Kelowna and Okanagan lake from higher elevation. Just walk 10min up hill, you’ll get picturesque view of both. Well worth the walk!

A beautiful park with fun trails. Great views of the city and the lake, tons of parking at both levels. Some spots of the trail get a little steep but otherwise a very enjoyable walk.

Parked at the park and took the trail up and up and up all the way to Paul’s tomb; about an hour one way. Spectacular views of the water and city!

I checked out this hike while visiting some friends this past November. I did not realize how out of shape I was, definitely underestimated this hike! Make sure to bring ankle supportive shoes as it is quite rocky!

We came hoping to look over the valley. There was so much smoke everywhere we saw nothing. It's open to everyone and pet friendly so we will definitely be back just never again when valley is full of smoke.

The road up to the top is closed because of fire hazard right now.
If it were open, you should be fine. My cousin brought her baby in the stroller up there and pushed it around just fine.
