I checked out this hike while visiting some friends this past November. I did not realize how out of shape I was, definitely underestimated this hike! Make sure to bring ankle supportive shoes as it is quite rocky!

We came hoping to look over the valley. There was so much smoke everywhere we saw nothing. It's open to everyone and pet friendly so we will definitely be back just never again when valley is full of smoke.

This is a great walk and a good workout. The views are amazing and great if you don’t want to leave the city. A must do when here.

This is a great place to go for a hike. There are several trails, look-outs and views of the lake. Paul’s tomb is the best known but there are several great walks n the area. Bikes can ride on the trails and road.

We travel a lot and I can't say I've ever seen such a wonderful nature resource so close to such a large city. It is literally in town--we walk to it, but once you're in there it feels like you are in another world.
The Pauls Tomb trail is spectacular--a great trail with an incredible view. We accessed it after walking up a short part of the apex trail. We did this many times while staying two months in Kelowna. In the short time we were here we saw a bald eagle, an osprey, many deer, too.
You can make this as short or long of a hike as you'd like.
Yes, it is well travelled but everyone is nice and says hello. Not a speck of trash around either that I saw, well maintained and people obviously are respectful.
Fantastic resource that makes Kelowna a really interesting place!

Knox Mountain Park is a 2km walk away from downtown. It is great to be so close to nature right in the city. We did an easy hike up Apex trail. The trail is one way and was quite busy. There are stunning look out points on the trail of the city, lake and surrounding mountains.

We arrived early and had no problem getting a parking spot. We took the Lower Apex trail to Paul’s Tomb. We followed this one all the way to the end and then backtracked to take Ogopogo (aka Gordon) up to the top. Our plan was to return via the Apex trail but we did not factor in that Apex is now one-way (covid) so we returned by the road. If I were to do it again, I would do it in reverse i.e. Apex to the top, Ogopogo to Paul’s Tomb and Paul’s Tomb back. Ogopogo was the only part with an ascent. This was a great hike with scenic views at the top of the lake and Kelowna.

The road up to the top is closed because of fire hazard right now.
If it were open, you should be fine. My cousin brought her baby in the stroller up there and pushed it around just fine.
