I have reviewed the Creekside Pub before a while back because I visit there often. Living in the area I have enjoyed this place for over 20 yrs due to the great location and service but cannot give more than 2 stars this time as the food was terrible. It is a place I have gone to often because it has a down home feel and while never has the food been excellent it has been edible. This time we were hard pressed to find anything without Mexican flavours. We had the Thurs/Fri/Sat special of BBQ ribs, potato salad and corn bread. The ribs were quite spicy with not a lot of meat. The potato salad was rock hard potato chunks covered with mayo and the corn bread had jalepino in it! Other dishes had chipotle mayo or more jalepinos. We were surprised at this change in the menu. Over the years we have experienced changes in the kitchen that were sometimes good and sometimes bad but we persevered because we love the ambiance and location and usually found that eventually it would get better. I will wait a while before I return again and really hope they don’t go Mexican.

Recently stopped by to eat lunch on the deck at Creekside pub with a friend. Service was good, food served quickly. Was disappointed to see they allow smoking throughout the deck. The atmosphere on the deck is nice, backing onto Mission Crk. I ordered the Ceasar Salad with a chicken breast which the waitress told me was "really good".. I found it to be mediocre at best. The chicken breast looked like they had pounded it flat and was about half the portion as other restaurants/pubs offer on their salad and it cost an extra $5 for the breast in addition to $9 for the salad (ie: Dakota's is $3 extra and a much larger breast & better ceasar salad overall). Over priced for what you got! We also ordered the Dry garlic ribs, which again were okay but nothing great. $12 and small portion again. I also ordered a chirizo & goat cheese pizza to take home ($15). I was shocked when I opened the box and found a paper thin pizza with few toppings and some sort of greens (arugala?) spread across the top. Hardly a pub type pizza and of little substance for the price. Tasted good but a total disappointment on size/toppings/price! Altho its a nice setting on their deck - we wont be going back. They really need to adjust their serving sizes/prices and up the quality of the food there. Its pub food - it shouldnt be that hard.
