We enjoyed a casual stroll along the water and came upon some interesting art as well as an estuary. We noticed a water bottle refill station and further along there are public washrooms near the beach. I could see that parking might be challenging at times but we found street parking at a reasonable price.

We walked through this park as part of our 3-hour food and drink walking tour of Kelowna. We were told that it was a joint project of the city and the hotels that are located there. A small lock was installed, leading to a sheltered area (and hotel-side docking) for small boats.

This is a really beautiful place to walk around. We watched an outdoor concert on Wednesday night, seems to be a regular thing there. Lots of sailboats and parasailing to watch, boat rentals nearby, so much to see.

Barcelona has Las Ramblas
Puerto Vallarta has the Malecon
Seoul has Myeongdong
Shanghai has the Bund
Kelowna has the Lakefront walk of which Waterfront Park is generally considered the northern end. A beautiful and clean beach area with ample bathroom facilities and concession service, however, I rarely see the concessions open. Plus, for some reason the local citizenry has never really embraced this beach as a viable option; it remains sparsely used even during the height of summer. Perhaps the lack of any nearby parking has something to do with it; what little parking exists is either metered stalls on the street or the ever hated Impark lot. The Island Stage is likewise more often than naught empty save for skateboarders hanging around to the chagrin of the bylaw officers. The paved path through the gardens is nice but again not well attended. That leaves just the walk. Start or finish at Waterfront Park and people watch or enjoy the beautiful lakeside views or just breathe in fresh air. But as a park it seems to have missed the mark.

Very nicely done with wooden bridges, small waterwalls, lovely plants and trees. Get to see the water, art installations, and check out the 'fancy' houses. A great way to stroll and can step off to go to the many restaurants in the cultural district.

Revisited with my hubby this time. Had a night walk. Nice and relaxed. Only concern was that the light is a bit dark for some spots in the park...lol... limited our visit. However, it is a very romantic place to go.

Kelowna is blessed to have a cool Waterfront Park. Excellent area for walking and restaurants and pubs very close by. Enjoyed watching skaters on the public rink. Did not hurt that the weather was beautiful.

Enjoyed visited the park on a Sunday morning. A lot of people, including families, were there. Parked the car in Public Parking in the park (approx. $2 or $3 for two hours. Walked around and had a lunch on the main road. A lot of coffee/cake places.

The path along the waterfront was well paved and not too crowded. All of the people we came into contact with were very pleasant. The Rotary marsh just north of the Grand Okanagan Resort was quiet interesting and teeming with birds. This is a relatively dog friendly locale and all the animals were leashed and well behaved.

At one time this was a very nice place to walk or spend time at the beach as we were here a few years back.
After the flood, they was currently approx. 10' deep of beach as the water was still high in July 2017. The water at this beach smelled fishy. We started walking down the boardwalk which was nice, but the further we went the environment changed. Lots of homeless people. We saw lots of people doing drugs and were approached by several strung out people begging for money or drugs. The public bathroom had a container to deposit used needles and this was disgusting, there was also a guy in there that was passed out. I did not feel safe and it was only 5 pm. I will not return to this beach as there are lots of others that did not have this environment. I really wish the city would clean up the area.

The Waterfront park is on the east side of the lake, just north of the big bridge on the west side of Kelowna.

Yes definitely. We saw lots of dogs along the boardwalk and others sat with their owners as we listened to live music. There was a water fountain along the board walk along the lake for dogs plus many vendors along Bernard avenue have water bowls for canine visitors.
