We visited here during our visit to Kelowna. Not too bad but the beach and area needs some attention as far as cleaning. There also doesn't appear to be enough park employees around. We saw several situation where security or park employees would have made our stay better. I.E. a group smoking dope, a group of 20 guys drinking alcohol etc... Not the best beach but decent other than needing more of an authority presence.

We went on a Saturday, the beach was so crowded and dirty!!! There were a large group of younger men blaring music, smoking pot over and over that was blowing in my kids faces. Everyone drinking heavily. We left after a half hour. So dissapointing to say the least. Does bylaw not patrol these beaches??

The beach is great, however there is now a severe lack of parking. The beach may be public, but the lack of adequate parking has made it almost exclusive to the developments around it.

We live nearby, and go several times a week in the summer. Beach volleyball, marked swimming buoys for a quick workout, and amenities close by.

While we thought this was a nice beach there are alot of people who appear to be not so well kept and made us feel like we should stay away from them. 2 of them asked if we had any extra money. Keep an eye out for these types.

We love this beach and is easy access from Downtown. Parking can be difficult as it is very busy.

Some great shops and food places are nearby. The beach is great for families.

Great beach for fun family time. Water is calm and plenty of space for sun and shade. Water sports rentals close by who carry top notch gear (paddle boards, canoes, kayaks etc.). Very relaxing & chilled!!!

Gyro Beach was a staple of my childhood growing up, and visiting last year it seems as if not much has changed. It's a nice little strip of sand which can get quite crowded in the summer. The playground, including the rope that kids can zip-line into the water on are hits. Gets deep only slowly, so good for small kids.

Gyro beach is a fantastic beach for hanging out and playing in the water. The water is shallow for about 200 yards then it gets deeper. The water has a nice sandy bottom so it feels great on bare feet. Not too mention the shallowness of the water makes it SAFE for the kids and awesome for throwing a football around.

When you travel in the winter, beach isn't the best to try the water but it is quiet. Great views down the lake.
