This is a great place if you have any kind of interest in bees (they are truly amazing creatures and the tour here will help you appreciate that) and/or want to enjoy a very peaceful farm area of Kelowna. It's a lovely drive through orchards with a view of the lake to get there.
I went there with my son (age 11) and my mom, and we all really enjoyed it. Nicole, our guide was a true expert on bees and is an equally hospitable host. I think the tour for the 3 of us was around 30$ which was well worth it for our increased appreciation of bees, the warm and lovely hosting by Nicole, the idyllic setting and some honey tasting.
If you are keen on bees and spending some time outside the city, then it's definitely worth the trip - and if you are in the area visiting other things, it's definitely worth going by too.

My adult daughter and I took a tour today. It was $7.50 each which is much less than we would spend on a drink and snack at Starbucks. Our tour guide was wonderful, knowledgeable, and very funny. She reminded us about sun screen and gave us umbrellas for the sun. She taught us a lot about the bees. She was very patient with the one child on the tour who asked a lot of questions. They were excellent questions though. We got to taste some of the honey. We then went into the cute little shop to buy some honey for ourselves. All in all, a very nice outing.

Made the trip to Bedford Lane in the Mission area of Kelowna to find out more about this local honey farm. You can learn a lot about the bees from Helen, a local bee keeper. A tour can be arranged and there is a great little gift shop where you can stock up on some tasty honey. This is an authentic local farm and appears to be a favorite with the locals and visitors. I would recommend adding it to your plans when you visit Kelowna.

Their honey shop offers the widest selection of types of honey I have tasted... yes they have taste samples. I really like their ginger honey and cinnamon honey. Staff is friendly and helpful.

We loved the local Okanagan feeling and the young ladies who helped us out. The staff were also very informative as to the process and procedure of the honey making business :)

I hate leaving bad reviews but this place was dull. The nice ladies at the lavender farm told me to go there and I'm not sure why. I wasn't even told I could book a tour and the shop wasn't anything you can't find at a local farmer's market in Michigan except for a few flavored honeys. Sadly buying nonlocal honey doesn't really help with the benefits of honey as buying local does. I was really hoping for information or a small info booth. Plus the one girl working didn't seem to know how to handle the couple that came in the same time I did and couldn't seem to realize I wanted to buy one thing and get out of there.

Stopped by from out of province and was immediately told that pets are not welcome outside of vehicles and it was best to leave. We have a small and well behaved 14 yr old cocker spaniel and tried to stretch our legs after a long drive. I would understand it if our dog went to the bathroom on the property or was acting badly but he literally was smelling flowers when asked to leave.

Cute little shop on the farm to sample locally made honey. It was amazing how many different honey's there are and how different they taste. Be sure to try the samples that they have.

A working farm is the location for this small shop. The bee hives can be viewed safely in a screened area outside with chairs and tables set up. There is a beautiful flower garden beside the hives and the bees are very active. If one of your interests is in nature photography you are assured of getting some great photos of the bees in action. Inside, the shop has a great supply of honey products and bees wax candles. Allow a minimum of half an hour.

We participated in the 1.5 hour tour for $15. It was amazing! The owner is incredibly knowledgeable, and was able to capture the attention of both children and adults. She shared both facts about honey bees as well as stories of her and her husband's personal experiences learning to be bee keepers. They've got a great setup for the presentations, and it took just the right amount of time. This is absolutely worth driving to while in the Kelowna area, though you do need to pre-book the tour. Check out the shop before you leave, they've got tons of types of honey, soaps, candles, etc.
