I believe the farm is family run they were ALL so welcoming and nice ! They only let certain number of people in to the farm at a time so it is not overly crowded. I suggest go early (like as soon as they open) so you don't have to wait until the group before you finish picking. I highly recommend

Cherry picking was not in our to-do list during our stay in Kelowna. However, we added this because a few changes in our plan provided us an extra few hours. A bit of research helped us shortlist a few orchards and it was one of them. The season having been late this year, not all the orchards were open at that time. This orchard opened to customers just a couple of days earlier.
I was particularly interested in the yellow variety and asked the front desk personnel of our hotel the previous day to check if this orchard was ready with yellow cherries. And the response was yes, they were ready with “Stardust”. So we went to this orchard the next afternoon a little before 3 pm and found the gate closing. There were several groups of customers at that time, some were leaving and some were still inside. Thankfully, a little bit of persuasion let us in.
At first we went for the “Early Yellow” variety as per their website. However, we got confused as the personnel working there termed the yellow variety as “Rainier”. As per their website it was not yet time for the Rainier to be ready for picking. And there was no mention of "Stardust". It was very hot, but we managed to pick about 8 lbs of cherries belonging to two varieties in about half an hour. The people in the orchard were friendly and helping. It was a nice experience and would have been nicer if we knew what specific variety of cherry we were picking.

Great place to visit for a fun-filled family day. Plus the cherries are the sweetest and crunchiest around.

It is our 2nd time there. It was only due to friends' request as they have rainiar ready. This farm does U-pick only. Every time, we have been limited to only 2-3 rows of trees. Depending on the time you go, there could be very limited cherries left in those rows. The cherries are significantly damaged by rain this year. They are still on the trees but 80% of them have cracks. It becomes very challenging to find the undamaged ones and we are limited to those 3 rows. Going up and down using ladders is a must. After picking, they weight and pack into their own box professionally. $1 for each box. All procedures are very commercialized. The enjoyment feeling of going to a farm and picking up fresh fruits is not there at all. $5/lb for rainier + your own labour = once is enough

These guys have some of the BEST cherries in the area and there are deals available on larger purchases. They also offer a variety when it comes to the "kinds"of cherries they grow. A local FAMILY OWNED and OPERATED business.

We made it to Kempf orchards right before their season ended. The only variety of cherry they had available was Stacatto but it was so sweet. They also wanted their cherries gone so they had a small deal to fill up pails which was right up our alley.
The owners were so friendly and helpful. The grounds were very well kept and definitely would be a great way to spend a morning.

Very friendly staff, a great place to pick with a nice entrance and facility. Very family farm feel.
If just looking for fruit tho buy it at a stand, this is a place to take your time, pick and enjoy the afternoon.
