I was the winning bidder of a portrait miniature in the 06/30/2022 Luis Porretta Fine Arts auction on LiveAuctioneers. I paid the invoice in full that same day, including shipping from Canada to the USA.
I did not receive the item, and inquired one month later as to the status of delivery. Luis said the item was shipped without full tracking. He promised to trace the item and resolve the problem.
Over 4 months later, I have received neither the portrait miniature nor a refund. Luis sent me a rude message after I posted a 1-star review on LiveAuctioneer, and has never returned any of my inquiries since then.
I asked LiveAuctioneers 1 month ago to intervene in the dispute. They contacted Luis who falsely claimed: (1) the item was delivered to me (no proof of delivery), and (2) he had refunded me as a goodwill gesture (no proof of refund).
I told LiveAuctioneers these were both untrue. They contacted Luis a second time, but he has refused to answer LiveAuctioneers' requests for proof of delivery/refund.
BOTTOM LINE: Luis Porretta Fine Arts accepted my payment in full of the invoice (including shipping). He shipped with Canada Post, which stops tracking at the international Canada/USA border. He refused to answer my inquiries, was untruthful to LiveAuctioneers, and refused to answer any of their follow-up inquiries. Simply stated, he stole my money. I hope you will carefully consider my situation before you ever do business with Luis Porretta Fine Arts.

A deeply troubled customer as the PO track shows that this was delivered. He was ALSO refunded. The harassment level we have endured is beyond description. Our 4,900 positive reviews on eBay with zero negative reviews speaks for itself!

Do not trust this company to sell your stuff, you will never see your money. They kept promising that they needed to cut a cheque but guess what no money. That review up above doesn’t surprise me and is apparently typical of this business. Steer clear.
