A shame the weather wasn't particuarly appealing and being August there wasn't much wildlife around. At certain times of the year, Spring and Autumn it can be good for birds. good size free car park

Such an awesome place for a short walk down the peninsula. Or if you are looking for a each swim, this is a great spot as it has showers and fountains to keep you hydrated all day long!

Pipers Lagoon has been a great place for decades. Locals know the beach here is safe, and has a fantastic view of the BC Ferries and islands out by the Departure Bay entrance. You can walk around the island that is at the end of...More

Lovely park, and very different depending on high/low tide. A short walk takes you around, and the views are just awesome. Loads of free parking, restrooms, etc

The busy main trail alongside the ocean is very nice but the trails over the rocks are a little dodgy ~ probably would not recommend for older folks.
