What a great beach for lounging and swimming! As it was directly across from our RV/campground, we swam here each day of our 5 day stay. Skaha Lake was cooler then Okanagan Lake but lovely. We loved the wide and long sandy beach (no problem social distancing!) and sandy bottom where you could walk out VERY far before a bit of a drop off before the buoys. Great for little kids. Is a free parking lot, washrooms, & icecream outlet also. Only draw back is there are only a few shade trees set far back from the shoreline.

As part of our daily walk, my sister and I explored Sudbury Beach, located on Skaha Lake. We sat on a memorial-plaque bench and enjoyed the views all around us. Sudbury Beach is one of three near us between Shaha and Airport Beaches. There is a paved walkway between the road and the sandy beach. Several business, including a boat, skidoo and paddle board rental as well as a closed-for-the-season concession are located here. Picnic tables and chairs are available for use. During the summer season, this beach is crowded with sunbathers, paddle boarders, kayakers, wind-surfers and swimmers. A large, free parking lot is nearby. Buoys designate the safe swimming area. A public washroom is also available with nearby fire pits for use when conditions allow campfires.

The sand is clean, the water warm, and the long beach with deep shores lends itself to socially distanced groups. Family friendly, roped off swim area, no drop-off, sand is deep for castle building.
