Booked a trip with Dino at Grape Escapes for a Naramata Full Day Tour -would HIGHLY recommend it! We had a private group day trip for four of us. Besides making sure we felt safe (COVID) and that everything was super clean, our driver, Beat, was also very informative with the area, history of wineries/wine makers and landscape that made the drive between wineries a lot of fun. He also went the extra mile by giving our group a mini sommelier course on the 5 - S's of drinking wine!! We actually learned something !
Best part of this day was Grape Escapes / Beat made sure we felt very taken care of ! Would definitely use them the next time we want to do a wine tour in the Okanagan! Thank you!

My fiance and I are so happy we went on this wine tour! We were rather last minute in booking and Grape Escapes was so accommodating. We did the Osoyoos/Oliver wine tour and would highly recommend checking out the wineries in this area. Dino is an excellent guide, extremely knowledgeable, pleasant and takes you to some great wineries that you may not have otherwise heard of. We went in early June 2020, and felt totally comfortable with the additional measures taken to ensure our safety regarding COVID-19. We learned so much, tasted some great wines, and truly enjoyed everything about the experience.
I would definitely like to do another tour, perhaps bring the family or a group of friends. Highly recommend to anyone wanting to fully experience the wineries in the Okanagan!

It was our pleasure to host you on your wine adventure through the Oliver-Osoyoos area. We are all adjusting our routines and protocols during these strange times and your feedback is critical to how we do things. Thank you for taking the time to let us know how we are doing; it is very much appreciated.
Cheers,
Dino

We had an amazing stagette weekend featuring our driver Rod for a fabulous day of wine tasting in the Naramata region (Penticton/Summerland/Peachland).
It was such a fun and enjoyable tour! Tastings were pre-arranged in advance and all COVID-19 safety protocols were strictly followed.
With a local's insider knowledge and a great sense of humour, Rod took us to a fantastic variety of wineries with stunning Okanagan lake views, with thoughtful touches like having bottled water ready for us on the bus as well as wine bags/boxes for our purchases. The cheese/crackers/strawberries/chocolate snack boxes he provided were a huge hit!
We all had a fabulous time and would highly recommend/use again.

We loved our experience with this wine tour! It took us around to 5 different wineries with some of the most spectacular views! I highly recommend you use this company for your tours. Rod was especially lovely as a driver, and provided not only a safe ride to and from the wineries (picked up and dropped off at our house), he was also exceptionally knowledgable about the wine business in Penticton (this made the drives very interesting). I highly recommend you ask him for tips, facts, and the process surrounding wine making in Penticton. Bring a few snacks for in between the wineries to ensure you make it through the day!
We highly recommend this tour business, especially Rod, for your wine tour in Penticton!

Communication was easy. Lots of flexibility and reassurance given the stress of covid times.
Bus arrived on time and tour was great.
One thing that I did not like is that we booked this well in advance (months) and indicated this was a special occasion (bachelorette).
We were offered a more expensive tour which was supposed to be extra special and include champaign, lunch etc.
The night before (at 10 am) I got a text saying that they just realized no bistros are open on Mondays (day of our tour) so we cant have lunch. An alternative for extra 20$ pp was provided in all fairness, but I did not feel comfortable making my group to pay even more money for an already most expensive tour on the menu to get what was supposed to be included. Also given the fact that I booked this months ago even I already did my research and knew bistros were not open on Monday, but I thought tours had special arrangements. So if I knew this weeks before my tour, I am a bit annoyed that the tour itself only looked into it the night before. On your special day, when you made a group of friends to travel from all over the country to attend this tour, receiving a text message at 10 pm that lunch is cancelled because tour did not take the time to review business hours was a bit annoying..... but we managed and still had fun!
We ate ourselves before the tour, so it was fine, but sort of last minuteness of this took me aback a bit. Also wineries mentioned they only received reservations late last night (again very last minute before the tour). So part of me understands this because of all the covid changes, but part of me wonders why this was thrown together so last minute and how was this specific tour any different from other cheaper ones.
The tour was called "pop the bubbly, I am getting a hubby" and promised to stop by Bella Wines which is supposed to have the best bubbly and bride was supposed to receive a complimentary bottle.
This part did not happen nor was it ever mentioned or acknowledged in any way. (Perhaps changes had to be made due to covid which is totally understandable, but it would be nice to have this acknowledged at least).
Anyways, overall i had a good time and so did our entire group, but we all were left a bit confused as to the changes to the itinerary which were not addressed.
I would recommend the company, but I would prefer a bit better communication to any changes!

We booked 2 back to back day tours and from the moment of first inquiries to the final drop off it was fabulous the entire time! The booking staff were knowledgeable and friendly to deal with, they accommodated our request to not repeat the same wineries both days, the texts to confirm pick up times were sent in a timely fashion and all safety and sanitary precautions were used throughout the entire day.
Mel was our driver the first day and took us through the 5 “S” s of wine tasting- so informative and gave us wonderful stories of the grassroots foundations of each small vintner. Always there with a helpful hand and to check out our favourite choices from each spot. Picturesque views whilst we enjoyed our delish lunches from the Bench Market and the added bonus of extra snacks of curated cheeses and chocolate were just perfection. We discovered new grapes we had never tried and rediscovered other types we had sworn off but have now re adopted into our repertoire. Dino the owner, was our guide the 2nd day and was another fount of local knowledge, scientific components and farming history to add to our experience. We had fantastic insights from the seasoned staff at the wineries and were very appreciative of a last minute switch to check out a favourite spot not on our original list. The entire experience was so memorable and cherished and we would absolutely recommend Grape Escapes for anyone visiting the region.

We toured with guide Spencer and had a great time. This is my second tour with Grape Escapes, and I really appreciate the knowledge and relationships they have with the local wineries, and even shared knowledge of the local geography. The guides are super attentive and conscientious, carefully packing up wines purchased and making sure everyone was taken care of food-wise (definitely recommend a picnic option).

Two of us had a really great day touring some excellent wineries on the Narmatta bench. Our driver and guide, Rod, was able to pick us up a little earlier than we expected, and we found him very pleasant, helpful and knowledgeable about the wineries, and the wine makers (he was also able to recommend other wineries to visit during our week in the Okanagan).
The weather was perfect and the ability to taste various wines at each winery, without worrying about driving, lifted what is usually a bit of a burden and made the entire experience pretty wonderful.
We enjoyed the wines at each winery, and purchased several varieties at each place (we're enjoying them now we are at home). Each place is a little different, and each wine has a different character. We had a nice lunch part way through our day and Rod dropped us off at our hotel in the late afternoon.
If you are looking for a relaxing way to visit several wineries and learn more about wine, this tour is for you! We would highly recomend Grape Escapes!

My girlfriend and I decided to do a last minute wine tasting tour in Penticton with Grape Escapes.
Our driver, Rod, was extremely knowledgeable and entertaining and took great care in ensuring our covid19 safety. The snacks were very much appreciated too.
Lunch at Da Silvas was an added bonus! Great tapas!

We (group of 7 teachers from Dormick Park) took a wine tour with Grape Escapes hosted by Roderick Strike. We thoroughly enjoyed the day and tour. The company organized the wineries just as we expected-all were great! Rod, our host/driver was right on time. He provided a friendly and fun atmosphere for us teachers. He was very accommodating, easy to talk to and kept us on schedule without making us ever feel rushed. Thanks Rod and Grape Escapes-we’ll be back!!

What made the day special? TOM TOM TOM!!!!!! Our guide Tom was the most lovely, humble, informative, salt of the earth guide we never knew we needed. Above and beyond a clean, air conditioned vehicle that made us feel safe.. he opened his heart and shared with us everything he loves about this beautiful place he calls home. Thank you Tom! We cant wait to venture another region with you this summer!!!

Hello, Savannah. As a Penticton-based company, we pick up at any Penticton accommodator free of charge. We do not pick up in Kelowna, unfortunately, as it would be cost-prohibitive unless it was a large group.

I would like to find a wine, but many I've tried I don't care for. Would someone be available to help me with this?
I've never been a wine drinker, but I would like to find something I would like.
Thank You!

Grape Escapes Wine Tours was an excellent choice of tours in my experience. Not only did you not have to worry about not driving - they showed us great wineries and an amazing place to dine and we had a lot of fun and laughs. This tour company does not overcrowd their buses and pays attention to putting groups together as well. I recommend them highly.
