About
At Cannery Brewing, we make beer with heart. It’s beer made by people who care, not just about beer, but about the people who drink it, about the people in our neighbourhood, and our community. We've been making beer since 2001 in beautiful Penticton, BC. We make beer with flavour, whether it be a German-style lager, a tart fruit sour, a hoppy IPA, or a rich stout. Our taproom is packed with great beer, locally inspired snacks, local wine and cider. We are, in a word, community. We’re all looking for it, and now you know where it is. Bring your dogs (only on the patio), your kids, your parents, your neighbours and friends, and enjoy a board game with your beer. Or live music or other entertainment from our busy events calendar.

Originally started in the famous Old Aylmer Fruit and Vegetable Cannery building (historic 1930’s south okanagan facility) in 2000 by Brew Master Terry Schoffer and Ron and Pat Dyck, Cannery Brewing got its namesake after the iconic location. Fast forward to 2015, the cannery took over an old automative garage, passed the torch to Son Ian and Owner/Lead Brewer Ross Thompson but kept the micro-brewery quality we all love!
Downtown and on the KVR, it’s the perfect location to visit after a bike ride, for happy hour or in search of epic brews!
Grab a seat, order some incredible pub fare and sip amazing craft beers! 🥨🍺🏆🥪🌮
Had great service from Shay and Calen.

We were recommended this place by a friend and told it was great for kids. I feel like I should preface this by saying it was a VERY hot day and we chose to sit inside. The place itself was cool. I liked the decor and the feel of it and no one had issue with our kids dancing and just being kids so that was great. The staff was great and our food came fast and the beer was good. The food was not good. That is an understatement. It was over seasoned and had too many flavors going on. The menu itself was small and offered very few things that looked appetizing. My daughter and I shared the chicken nachos. It was a big gooey mess and had white sauce dizzled on top. It seemed like it was all spicy to make up for the lack of actual conducive flavors. Go for a beer not food:)

Loved their backyard patio - so relaxing with friends. Wonderful drinks and food. They even had a food truck on premise for additional options. Will definitely visit again!

The staff here are super as they obviously take pride in their brew pub. I loved the cool industrial chic decor. We had the nachos were great and therefore recommend you order them. It isn't often I come across a nut brown ale (even in craft breweries) so was delighted that they had one on tap. (It isn't included in my posted picts, the lagers are.) That particular recipe is outstanding! We will definitely be back!

Beer was good, food not worth it. Had the chicken brie sandwich for $15.00. came with nothing other than the sandwich. Coleslaw inside the sandwich had so much mayo that the bread was soggy in just a minute or so after serving. Would definitely not recommend this sandwich

Always head to this spot on our annual pilgrimage to Penticton and this year did not disappoint. The beer is spot on, the Nachos are literally the best, lovely staff and great location.

This visit to Cannery Brewing involved a meal prepared by Joy Road Cuisine du Terroir. Our four course meal was served with different kinds of beer that were chosen to enhance each one of them. Our welcome beer was an Imperial Lime Gose and proved to be my favorite of the night. The first dish of the night was a charcuterie of ham, salami, fresh veg, pickled mustard, olives, almonds, pickled eggs, smoked cheddar, jalapeño corn bread and mustard butter all accompanied by a Lakeboat Lager. A Skaha Hazy Pale was served with the next dish of greens, shaved veg, nut brown vinaigrette, chicken chicharron and fermented onion rings. Charcoal grilled Cornish game hen, rhubarb bbq, sauerkraut slaw, smoked Serrano beans, grilled pork belly with white bbq sauce was served as our main. The beer was HDHC Citra hazy. A kindling stout accompanied the dessert of chocolate oatmeal stout cake, chocolate ganache, sweet/spicy peanuts and creme anglaise. Every member of our group enjoyed this spread and we’re pleased that boxes were provided so we could take our leftovers home with us to enjoy the next day.

We haven’t ventured out to many places this fall but met a couple people for a glass of wine. Really felt that the staff were taking Covid seriously so could relax. Excellent nachos and the staff were super friendly and professional. Will certainly go back
