I did an outdoor lead climbing course with Russ. He was a fabulous guide. He obviously loves the sport and the community a lot and it shows. He has a vast knowledge of all things climbing, and has put a lot of work into the local climbing community in the Okakagan. I will absolutely be taking more classes with Skaha Rock Adventures as I progress in climbing :-)

Went with my Dad, and additionally met great friends! Overall, Russ provided an exciting and informative rock climbing session, always ensuring safety and allowing us to push our limits during this 5.5 hour day! Russ and Lyle were phenomenal. They help build your confidence with knowledge, experience and so much patience and laughter. Such an amazing experience. I've climbed indoors for a couple years now and they gave me all the tools I need to go outdoors. Things to look out for, pros and cons of individual gear. Letting you try different gear to see what you like. They provide all the gear if you don't have any or you can bring yours and grab the things you're missing. Great company! Check them out.

The two day basic rock was such a worthwhile educational experience. I feel more safely prepared and knowledgeable to begin my outdoor climbing journey now than I would have been being taught by friends. The climbing and repelling were so much fun and the hiking and rock faces of the bluffs are so breathtaking. Highly recommend this experience to anyone looking to transition from indoor to outdoor climbing! Or for a more foundational beginning than the one day course provides.

Okay that was a blast and I feel very safe heading out on future adventures! I just completed the three day rock climbing course and I couldn't be more impressed with it. Russ and his guides are incredibly knowledgeable and so fun to adventure with. They ensure everyone fully understands their instructions throughout the day(s) making you feel very safe. The value you get out of their courses far exceeds the course fees.

Russ hosted myself and 2 friends for a custom climbing course at the Skaha Bluffs. He is a professional to the highest degree. He was able to cater and adapt on the fly to our varying degrees of experience. Absolutely suggest Skaha Rock Adventures. We will be back.
