You might have a very safe experience but none of the guides appear to hold any certification by a professional organization that is recognized in Canada. Look for an ACMG certified guide if that is important to you

Hello Z1553GC - Why didn't you use a real profile with a name. If there is anything misleading here I would say it is your review. As our staff hold valid certifications to the appropriate level by industry standards here in Canada, we are fully insured with valid permits for all locations we operate in, and this is what is outlined on our website. We do not believe this to be in any way misleading. For this reason we can't help but find this review suspicious and so have reported it to Tripadvisor as you are unfairly putting our risk management policies, safety, honesty and validity of our business in question through this platform, with the potential to negatively affect our reputation without cause. We also find the anonymity of your account (only identified as a number), to be additionally suspicious. If you would like to speak further about your concerns we invite you to contact us directly and we will be happy to share with you the details of our staff's qualifications and their recognition here in Canada. We invite any and all of our customers who may be concerned by this unfortunate and misleading review, to do the same. We pride ourselves on our risk management systems and always put our clients safety and industry standards of top priority.

My wife and I spent a lovely week biking around the Naramata wine district. As part of our stay we eBiked the 80 km. from Myra Canyon to Penticton on the old KVR rail bed. Mike from HooDoo took us from Penticton to Myra Canyon. Along the way he was a terrific font of knowledge about the building and operation of the Railway. Made our trip much more enjoyable. Great service. The Myra Canyon section of the journey is probably the best, with 18 trestles to enjoy and amazing scenery. Road down to Chute Lake a bit sketchy but easily passable. Lunch at Chute Lake was wonderful, especially as we were a bit wet from the rain and needed to dry out. No reservations needed for lunch. Views on the ride in to Penticton are amazing. Highly recommend this bike ride.

We booked a shuttle from Penticton to Chute Lake to ride the KVR back to Penticton. Great customer service from the time we emailed to inquire and book the shuttle, to the drive to Chute Lake. Our driver was fun and informative. The only regret we had was in not having breakfast at Chute Lake Lodge, the food looked delicious!

I used Hoodoo for a 7:00am shuttle from Penticton to Myra Canyon and then a one-way cycle 80km along the Kettle Valley Railway, past Chute Lake Lodge and Naramata back to my hotel in Penticton. Mike, the driver and co-owner of Hoodoo, was very knowledgeable, prompt, friendly, and professional and set me up for a fantastic experience, including a great lunch at Chute Lake. The 80k ride was surprisingly easy as the railway grades never exceed 2% and the second half of the ride from Chute Lake to Penticton is all downhill. Views along the way were fantastic! The total ride takes most people 6-8 hours and I was at the long end of the range with a one hour lunch and a bazillion stops to take photos. Families with children as young as 6 and 8 do the ride with an overnight stay at Chute Lake. Using Penticton as my cycle-friendly basecamp, I also cycled along the KVR to Okanagan Falls, Vaseux Lake and back, and then did another trip around White Lake (scenic, but much steeper). Overall I found Penticton to be a great base camp for a cycling themed vacation, and Hoodoo a great partner to work with to make it all happen.
