a bit pricey
Jul. 2020
We found it a little pricey and we recommend using the twilight rate after 5 pm. our children will get tired after a few hours, so the twilight rate works out well

Terrible Life Guards and Unsafe Park
Aug. 2019 • Friends
Went on the Wibit in Penticton with a group of friends. We were having a blast until we discovered that the connector between the ‘Action Tower’ and the rest of the run was damaged and there was no mat to prevent people from falling through. After about an hour of having fun I had slipped on the tower and fell back into the space between the two islands. The lifejacket has prevented me from falling all the way through however the movement of the two islands began crushing my abdomen, preventing me from breathing. My friends rushed to get to me to try and pull me out. During this time the life guards were doing nothing. It took about 5-10 minutes from the time I fell to the time my friends had rescued me, all the while I was struggling to breathe. The lifeguards did not come over to help, and did not check on me afterwards. I went to complain to the lifeguards about the danger which they replied “oh we know. It’s been broken for weeks,” and claimed that management wasn’t fixing it. I returned to the beach to speak to a manager, and both managers on shore were shocked to find out that it was broken- no one had told them. They promised to have it fixed and even questioned the 2 lifeguards who I had spoken to, neither of whom seemed to care and ‘assumed’ they knew.
Meanwhile, my friends had rescued 3 more kids who fell through the same spot, again- no lifeguards going to help them.
The management assured me it would be fixed, though I am too disappointed in the lifeguard staff to risk returning.

Upon returning home I had discovered that my foot was bruised from hitting something on my way down, and I had severe back and abdomen pain from being stuck between the 2 islands.
Overall, would not return. Despite the managers apologies and assurances, the lifeguards did not do their job and didn’t care that people were getting hurt.

Fun For All
Jul. 2019 • Family
The Wibit is great for all ages! Supervision is provided and life jackets must be worn. There is a smaller version of the Wibit that is strictly for smaller children and their parents. A wristband is purchased for about $25 and it’s good for the entire day. Beach chairs are provided for the parents to sit and watch!

Too busy
Jul. 2019 • Family
It was awesome in theory but way too crowded. It’s more suited for kids 12ish and up.
Myself and my son both got injured because of bottle necking and kids smashing into us. My daughter only lasted about 5 minutes because she got scared of how many people were on it.
There was also an issue with a lot of kids just sitting and perching themselves on obstacles and not much was done to keep them moving.

IF you have children who love water - Go Here!
Aug. 2018
I took my 13 year old daughter and her friend here and they loved it. It was one of those hot, Penticton days in the summer. It was enough fun for them that we went back a second day.

The registration is simple. Sign the waiver, as is normal with all outdoor activity places like this. One waiver for each child. Once that's done, pay. Even though they're on the beach, they take all forms of debit and credit along with cash. Then someone will help the children pick a suitably sized life jacket. Once that's done it on!

They had to wade out into the the lake, and seemingly swim the last bit. Now - I didn't go. However I want to pass along what I was told.

1. The girls said it was the nicest group of kids ever, because there is apparently a very strict No Bullying' rule in place. They said everyone, no matter what age, was friendly and that made it more fun to be there.
2. It's slippery! And wobbly! I saw them, over and over falling down when they were on the apparatus, and it was kind of funny. You have to figure with the waves, and all the kids running and jumping it's no a smooth, stable platform - and that was one of the most fun things for them! Challenge!
3. It's huge! After the first day, they hadn't even spent time on one section of it. It might look smaller from the beach, but they said it's huge, and because it takes effort to move around on it it's quite the adventure.
4. It's a blast. Nothing more to say there.

So, I totally recommend this. I had a great seat on the beach where I could see them. Beautiful day, nothing to complain about. Great even if 'you' just want to read a book while the kids are entertained, all within your sight (PS you need good eyesight haha!)

Try it out!

Great for kids
Aug. 2018 • Family
Found this activity great for keeping the kids occupied but not so much for adults, especially Mom's! It is hard to balance and if you aren't wanting to get bounced off, then don't go on the Wibit. They manage it well with lots of staff and they make sure the kids understand the rules.

Fun for all ages!
Aug. 2018 • Family
We visited the Wibit Water Park in Penticton and our 8 year old had a blast! Life jackets are required (provided) and you can purchase an all day pass for $25 + tax. Sometimes it looks like the adults are having more fun than the kids!

Every time I go and take a trip to Penticton, I always have an amazing experience going on the wibit. have some common sense out there and you will get around. $20 bucks for a day pass you can't go wrong with the wibit.

Unsafe
Jul. 2018 • Couples
I spent about 45 mins on this with my bf. In that span of time I saw two adults almost seriously injure themselves. One of them almost hurt their knee very badly and the other almost broke the finger. I as well almost injured my knee very badly. From the shore it looks very stable. However it is a completely different story once you get on it. It’s very tippy and unstable. It’s very tough to get up out of the water once you fall in. I am actually surprised that this place doesn’t have lawsuits against them. They don’t seem to have a safe limit for the number of people that are on it. And the lifeguards don’t seem to enforce any rules or safety. This thing is one of the most unsafe activities I have ever done.

Hello Jenn, We’re very sorry you didn’t have a good experience on the park. Yes, you are correct that it is difficult to walk around on the equipment because it’s on the water and it moves with the water, we do have step ups on the equipment to make it easier to get back on. Our parks do have capacities that we follow, and like any physical activity there are risks involved. We take safety very seriously at all our parks and that is why we require life jackets and have the proper amount of trained lifeguards. Thank you.

Fun for Everyone! Including the Lifeguards
Jul. 2018 • Couples
15 of us went (kids and parents) and took advantage of the large group pricing. Lots of fun and opportunities to test your balance and strength. At one point some teenagers took out the lifeguards, which was a little unnerving. The kids weren't kicked off or anything, so it kind of felt unsafe as they were wrestling everywhere. Great helpful staff, both out on the water and at the ticket tent.
