A nice little walk along an old railway that's being reclaimed by nature. I started at Bob's on the Rocks like most I imagine. There is an old wall that was built to shore up the rail bed early on, part of it has crumbled to the shore below and part of it stands, some interesting old engineering. I also found an abandoned anchor chain with links bigger than my shoe draped over the shore rocks right near the end of the walk. I'm sure that there are more artifacts if you look for them. The end of the trail was rather anticlimactic where it opened up to a scruffy boat yard with no directions to speak of. Take your pick from there.
It was a nice way to kill an hour none the less.
When I returned I ordered fish and chips at Bob's. Good grub.

This trail is located on the traditional territory of the Tsimshian and follows the coast. There are two benches facing the water and after the third bridge there’s a picnic table. There are a few steep (very short) areas but it appears as though some people have avoided them by creating another parallel path along the old tracks. I’m not sure if this is ok though as there’s no signage and some appear to be blocked off with larger logs. The trail comes out by curling rink or you can loop back to the parking lot. Trail was clean and well kept and is paved/gravel and nice and wide for physical distancing.

A nice wide walkway with a few fairly steep sections. Wear proper hiking shoes. Beautiful views of the ocean and harbour. There was a food booth at the start

This trail has been dramatically improved over the last few years. A nice easy walk from the Rushbrook dock that takes you out to the seaplane base. Stop at Sollys for a bite to eat then loop back on the trail. You won't be disappointed.

We wanted to be active today - so we looked for a trail that was a good way to start. One of the top trails is called the Rushbrook Trail- just by the docks in Rupert.
We did not know that there was a trail just behind Bob's on the Rocks which we have visited before. The parking near this area is paid - and only accepts debit/credit/Interac transactions for payments. After that, we started our hike.
After reading about the trail, we were expecting the hike to be about an hour-long or so. It was almost accurate - unless you like to take photos here and there as we did - you might spend more than an hour and a half. Not to mention, most of the hikers here are locals so some chit-chat or hellos are inevitable along the trail. That is what it makes it feel safer - most hikers would say hello to you when you pass by each other.
There are some interesting scenic views and sometimes not too common birds you can spot in the way. We also took note of the Steep signs once in a while when there is a slope or loose grade in the path.
We were impressed that the train tracks were repurposed in such a way to provide a comfortable and well-maintained hike trail for the city. There are also about 3 solid bridges in this trail, which can be good vantage points for those scenic shots.
We reached the end of the trail with ease, finding out it leads to some of the seaplane bay areas. We headed back and make it in good time. We would definitely come back here for a stroll and enjoy the scenic views.

We really enjoyed this walk on the water front at Prince Rupert. We saw numerous bird & wildlife species including the Bald Eagle, Stellars Jay, a couple of seals and many more. It is a nice easy walk only about 1.5km each way.

This trail was built on or near the original Canadian Pacific Railroad. It is a beautiful gravel trail with small hills and curves. The trail is 1 mile each way. Bikes are not allowed. The scenery is beautiful and it is wonderful listening to the birds and tiny water falls. This is well worth a visit. The trail is about 1/2 mile from the cruise ship dock.
