Only minutes from town centre by car, small car park but local bus stop in car park. Read the signs at start of walk, it advises that bears and wolves are in the area so proceed accordingly.

It is not bad for a few hours walk in nature, it is pretty flat in most aspects. I was expecting more spectacular show with rapids, but I guess this would depend on the time of the day these are viewed and the tide level.

My wife and I were part of a group from a cruise ship on a guided walk. The walk was pretty easy and ended with a great view of the rapids. Also learned something about the First Nation people that call Prince Rupert home.

Most of the walk is in the forest, crossing small creeks and a lot of up and down, making it a great way to shed som calories. It took us minty minutes to complete. The part that hugs the coastline was pretty, and so where...More

It is a beautiful hiking trail through old growth forest but there are a lot of hills that can be challenging for Seniors or anyone with physical limitations.

This trail is on the outskirts of Prince Rupert and is well laid out with a good track underfoot. It winds through typical BC forests and makes its way towards the river where you will eventually find a lovely viewing platform to see the rapids....More

This is a really lovely walk. Not too difficult, through a variety of terrain. It is easy to get to without a car - the local bus stops there on my he way to the cannery. The beach is inviting to explore, or just sit...More

Nice green space enroute to the cannery. Time your walk to fit in with the bus timetable. We are fit and walked down to the beach, had lunch and a relax, continued on to the lookout? And then looped back to the bus stop in...More

A pleasant 5 km walk through a rain coast forest that touches down to the beach. It has very smooth trails which are well maintained & there are several places for both resting & picnicking. Some lovely views but you should check tidal charts in...More

The trail is gravel along with the little hills, so being around wheelchairs I wouldn't want to take a wheelchair along the trails. Hope this is of help.

It is not a hard walk at all. It is beautiful through the forest. I agree with the above comment about parking on the highway and walking down the path.
