Good walk - some steep bits but they do not last along and are not that steep. Great views around Rapids and beaches. Easy gravel walking. Shady too if going on a hot day. Would advise a picnic and time to sit on beach with a book if weather permits. Several walkers in area so felt safe.

Look, let's get real here, this is a walk of 5.5km., if you do the circuit. We are middle aged and of average fitness, but found it pretty easy compared to what we are used to. The path undulates in places, but nothing too strenuous. Most could do this, if you have a couple of hours to spend. To see... More

I walked this trail by myself. The trail is well maintained and there are some very nice views. Some of the interpretative info posts have been knocked down but some good info along the way. This is a day walk not a hike you don't need to be all geared up.

Enjoyed this hike immensely , but be ware.. steep climbing up all along the trail . Beautiful scenery as you hike . there are warning signs for bears , cougars and wolves, so be on the look out for that.

Great trail to see the beautiful trees and foliage that make up the forest surrounding Prince Rupert. Very challenging trail and it is a great work out. On low tide the rapids are nice to see.

Only a few mlles out side of Prince Rupert, this temperate rainforest park is lush and green. The hiking trails and tidal rapids are truly beautiful. The trail has varied topography which includes dense temperate rainforest uplands, and boardwalks over lovely bogs, Some sections of the trail were more challenging than others and it was evident that many of the hikers... It is a very long walk but worth it. There are couple of points that you need to reach to see the rapids. Since it a very long walk of around 5 Kms recommend that you carry some water and some snacks specially with kids. It is a very relaxing walk and exciting too. Please do not miss it.

this is a great way to spend a supper sunny afternoon. there are interpretative sighs that explain the vegetation and various habitats. i enjoyed just hanging out at the beach for lunch and watching all the wildlife.

I usually enjoy running Butze, the hills provide a good challenge for the calves. It is also a great trail for those who would like to walk and enjoy a leisurely scenic route with an option of having a pinic near the shore with picnic tables. Pet friendly is a big plus!
