We did two days with Big Red Cats and found the best Pow ever. Good, experienced guides and fantastic snow. Day one was challenging with drops and steep slopes, day two wasn't as good - not as challenging but then we had sun and that beats kinda everything. Not enough food day two was also disappointing.

Making reservations at Big Red Cats for a late March trip,we knew we were rolling the dice. It had not snowed in 5 days and the temps were on a warming trend. We were told not to worry. We had signed up foe an advanced ,expert cat and Big Red certainly delivered. They payed alot of attention to safety before... More

This is a first class operation that begins with ensuring your safety on the mountain and skyrockets up from there to fulfill your lust for untracked powder on every run. Last week my ski buddies and I had the good fortune to spend three days with Cody, Mike and Big Red Cats owner/operator and lead guide Kieren Gaul who took... More

Fantastic!! I have skied my whole life but had never been to British Columbia and had never been cat skiing. Our trip vastly exceeded my expectations and those of everyone who went. We had a group of ten guys and flew into Spokane and drove the 2 1/2 hours north to Red Mountain. We loved Red Mountain for itself. the... More

Friend Andy and I lucked into 2 days at BRC in late January. I had the best 2 days of skiing in my life. Our guides (Kieren, Tarn and Garrett) were very professional, and were always safety first! That being said they were also very fun guys. The terrain and snow was amazing. There was no wasted time, it was... More

My family recently enjoyed 3 days of Cat Skiing with Big Red Cats. The professionalism of the entire staff was exemplary. All guides were highly skilled, extremely safety conscious, friendly and fun, and highly customer focused. The terrain was breathtaking...19,000 acres of back country that contains everything you can hope for when Cat Skiing. Vista's, steeps, open meadows, glades and... More

I spend several glorious days with BRC. All the days were excellent except 1 average day and 1 below average day. Good points Very friendly staff. Great value for money. Extremely well run and very safety conscious. Modern well maintained equipment. Very good guides on the whole (more on this later). Great snow and lots of it. Varied terrain. Things... More

Thanks for the feedback - I think that quite a lot of people who are in doubt end up opting for the expert group, and that means that the real experts can end up waiting for people who aren't actually very strong. We do our best, but if someone tells us that they are a strong skier or rider it... More

Our group spend three days cat skiing with BRC. Over-all it was an exciting and memorable experience. Everyone we encountered, both BRC personnel and Rossland locals, were extremely hospitable and went out of their way to be accommodating. The operation and guides are safety conscious and enthusiastic with a strong desire to provide a pleasant and enjoyable experience, while minimizing... More

Incredibly well run cat ski operation that delivers huge powder skiing bang for the buck. Great guides and equipment plus a big focus on safety made for a never to forget day of skiing. Booked the Advanced/Expert group and was treated to steep tree runs as well as expansive open glade skiing. One heads up for this type of skiing... More
