We did the twenty minute scenic tour at the end of the day! Our Pilot was Dan and he made sure we were comfortable in the plane, he gave us a tour of Tofino from the air with bits of history and culture dropped in! Dan even found us a Grey Whale that was feeding that we saw from the air! All in all a great trip and really worth it! Thanks so much guys :)

Did the float plane along the coast. Very cheap compared to the other companies in Tofino.
If you’re looking for whale sightings, do this instead of the boat tours, you see way more!
Very helpful reception team and great information during the 30 minute flight. Managed to see some whales. 100% recommend!

Went with Alteo for the hot springs cove trip via sea plane! The flight was incredible - a must do while in tofino! The staff were really friendly and knowledgable as well. We were lucky enough to spot a whale on the flight back which we circled!
The hot springs were great - a lovely 30 min board walk and then we just went between rock and springs for about 90 mins. So nice! Would recommend some crocs/ wet shoes as its very rocky and the pools are quite difficult to get into but well worth it!

Took a 15 minute flight up the spectacular west coast of Vancouver Island with Atleo Air and was lucky to see a grey whale. We landed in the harbour, then walked for about 30 minutes through amazing old growth rain forest to the hot springs, The silence and the moss hanging from the trees created a magical experience, as did soaking in one of series pf hot pools that cascaded down to the sea. Great to fly with a small family-owned company whose team have in-depth knowledge of the area.

This is a long overdue review of one of the most amazing experiences of my life. Our trip last August was incredible. We had gorgeous weather. I actually hate flying in commercial airliners but our pilot was relaxed and confident and I thoroughly enjoyed every single minute of the trip. Taking off in a float plane is fun. We flew over Clayoquot sound and then up into the mountains. We were so close you felt you could reach out and touch the snow. The scenery is incredible and you get a true perspective of wilderness that you don’t get on the ground. We landed on a lake where you couldn’t hear a thing except the sounds of the forest on a glorious day. We headed back via the coast where we saw miles of golden sand and pristine beaches. I didn’t think it could get any better but the icing on the cake was seeing three separate grey whales. Again, seeing them from above, and the sand trails they churn up, was a completely different perspective to seeing them from a boat. I honestly don’t think the trip could have been any better. Huge thanks to our pilot for the trip of a lifetime.

It's hard to impress teenage boys. But Jason managed it! The whole team made us feel welcome and relaxed as soon as we arrived. We had to be flexible due to the fog, but Erica kept us informed. The flight itself was breathtaking. We stopped at a lake in the mountains for a swim before heading back. We talked about it all evening. An absolute highlight of our whole trip. Thank you team!

A must do attraction!
We did the 30 min waterplane fly over Tofino and it was amazing. The pilot Dan did a great job explaining everything to us and we loved every minute of it😃.

We booked an extended coastal helicopter tour with a remote beach landing to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary. Erica at the Atleo office was super helpful and kept us updated on conditions as the weather before our flight was marginal. Our pilot Blake greeted us as we arrived at the hanger, gave us a thorough safety briefing and made sure our PFD’s were properly fitted.
After taking off, we headed north along the coast as far as Rafael Point on Flores Island. Our pilot pointed out many landmarks and looked at several places to land for us to explore, but big waves made it unsafe to set down at several of his preferred locations. We eventually landed on a beautiful deserted beach on Vargas Island, and had nearly an hour to beachcomb and take photos. When it was time to return to the airport, Blake made sure we had a good aerial view of Cox Bay where we were staying, and circled the Canso crash site near Radar Hill which we had hiked to many years ago.
Overall, we were impressed with the service and felt very safe flying with Atleo Air. We highly recommend them for getting a look at the Tofino area from above.

Amazing experience with Josh our helicopter pilot - a Tofino native so extremely knowledgeable about the history, nature, islands, wildlife and communities of Tofino abs surrounding areas. A great + informative coastal tour with a bonus of whale spotting from the air!

We took the peak to surf tour with pilot Josh, we could not have had a better trip!
It started out by meeting Josh on the helipad where he ran us through all the safety procedures and then we got into the heli, what a great few hours!!!!!!
We flew up to a mountain lake and the kids went in for a bit of a swim, I went for a little bit rugged hike with Josh to the top of an awesome waterfall. From there we fly across the mountain ridge and over to a private island beach where my kids saw their first whale playing in the surf, we landed at a nearby beach and had a blast playing in the surf and exploring the natural bridge/cave area.
We headed back to the airport but not before hovering near another whale and huge black bear.
Josh took the time to explain everything and show my family all the cool little areas, we could not have been happier with the adventure.
If you are wondering if you should book a trip with them, do it! You won’t be disappointed!!!!

Hello, can you tell me how long is the flight time from Tofino to hot springs? Is it possible to go there on one flight and enjoy the hot springs for couple of hours and come back on a different flight? How much was the fare? Thanks.

Hi
The flight was around 15 minutes each way. They land you at the pontoon where the boats moor up, and there is boardwalk to the hot springs that you follow from there. You typically have around 3-4 hours in total including walking there and back, which gives you plenty of time. The plane will come and pick you up at the agreed time from the pontoon.
$588.60 for 3 of us (2 adults, 1 teenager)

Much less than Tofino air. We (4 of us ) saved about $300 by flying with Atleo. We rented the plane and pilot for one hour which is really about 1 1/2 hours since the trip ncludes a stop at an alpine lake for about 30 minutes. It is well worth the cost which was very reasonable-- about $400 US
