Considered by many to be one of the best boardwalk hikes around, you will be immersed in the natural serenity of the temperate rainforest. You can take the easy stairs to the beach, where you can gaze at the gentle waves crashing in. During low tide, an inviting passage presents itself so you can make your way to a small island where you may find bald eagles soaring above. Schooners Cove is nothing less than invigorating and rejuvinating. Truly a picturesque adventure.

the only downside to Schooner is the 1100 meter wooden walkway that includes a lot of stairs. If that is not a problem, then this is the best opportunity to see a beautiful beach and experience a rain forest together.

We walked to 2 km through the rain forest to Schooner Cove - great walt where you can see a lot of big, old trees. Schooner Cove itself is beautiful, we were almost alone there.

Amazing trail through the rain forest, all on a well maintained board walk. Quite a lot of steps involved but very interesting walk and lovely secluded beach at the end. I wish we had taken lunch.

A 2 km loop board walk trail with lots of long flights of stairs, through two ravines and leading to Long Beach. Well worth it. Go at low tide so you can walk to a small island. Note this is in Pacific rim national Park...More

Recently we did this trek through the forest to get to Long Beach. It was raining (of course) but the rain only made it more beautiful. We went at low tide so we could the entire length of the beach. The trek through the forest...More

This is a must if visiting Tofino. The trail along the wooden path was wonderful, there were a few planks that felt a bit loose but nothing major! The trees and greenery were lush - we felt like we were in the jungle book (minus...More

You need to see this beautiful place. There is a boardwalk to the beach for about 1 km. It is a nice walk. When you get to the beach you will feel that you are in paradise.
