Tofino Air doesn’t bill your credit card until you check-in for your flight. At that time, you are prompted with a tip request on your total amount, my preference is to tip after service is provided. Ryan was our pilot, and he delivered a good safety overview. The scenery was beautiful but the engine was extremely loud!!! I think there should have been double hearing protection for this, or the over ear hearing protection I had was faulty. No real commentary during the 30-minute flight, so you don’t have a good idea of what you are looking at, other than the coastline. The price for a 30-minute flight has good value as opposed to other carriers in the area, however, there is an opportunity for an improved guest experience.

I was fortunate to choose Tofino Air for a trip to visit the Maquinna Hot Springs Provincial Park. The park was cool and great hike to the hot springs, but the real highlight was the flight. Our pilot Ryan was great and very safe; flying in a Beaver is always a treat but that scenery on BC's west coast is something else!! Thanks for a great tour

We had an amazing seaplane tour of both the coast and the mountains near Tofino. Our pilot, Ryan, was great and made sure he not only gave us wonderful views of scenery but also circled over two whales so we could all see them. Incredible!

My girlfriend and I made it to Tofino last week (April 21-25) and opted for a special trip to Hot Springs Cove. Booking was a breeze with Emily and the office staff in town. Victor was our pilot and took great care of us. There was a quick safety briefing and we were off on a quick 20 minute flight across Vargas and Flores islands to the cove. Victor even found us a grey whale en route as well as some sea lions lounging in the water.
We landed in the cove and tied up at the dock, there were a few other boats already moored and we expected it to be busy. It was a short hike to the hot springs where we found the changing hut. On our walk thru the forest there was a group going the opposite direction and as we arrived, another group was also departing. Once we got changed and walked down to the pools it was just us and another couple. I assume this timing is intentional as it was very uncrowded in the pools.
At the end of our session, we made the walk back to the dock where Victor was waiting for us. We were treated to another stunning hop back across the islands back to town in time for dinner at one of the many Tofino patios!
Amazing experience, cannot recommend it enough!

If you are European like us and you have travelled thousands of miles to reach Tofino, you just can’t miss this breathtaking experience.
We had a 30-40mins flights down the coast of Tofino and think we beated the world’s record for the longest apnea, as we were in awe for such views. The waves rocking Tofino’s beaches will be something that you will easily print into your memory for the rest of your lives.
Sea lions also appeared during our trip, we were pretty lucky in a nice summer day. Whales and bears are also common views.
Victor, our pilot, has been the greatest guide for our trip with his deep experience on how to operate seaplanes safely and his mastery of the local area. As a pilot myself, it was easy to feel safe throughout the whole journey.
By far, Tofino Air gifted us one of the best adventures in our life. Could not recommend more.

A really cool experience in Tofino! The perspective it gives you is unlike anything around so I would highly recommend! We did the coastal tour and were so lucky to have seen 2 sets of whales along the shore that our guide circled for us to get a better look at, not only that but also the sunbathing sea lions!

Amazing experience! Went on hot cove spring tour. Tthe weather was rainy and misty the morning of our flight but the office arranged to move the flight to the after to provide the opportunity to some clearer views.

We did ‘The Coastal Tour’ whilst on our Honeymoon in Tofino and it was an incredible experience. The scenery was beautiful and really cool experience to be in a sea plane which we’d never done before. The pilot was really friendly; he was even able to find a grey whale in the shallows and circled around it so we could get a good look. I’d highly recommend doing this whilst in the area.

We took the Sand to Summit Tour on the last day of our visit to Tofino & it was the best ending to an amazing trip! Weather was perfect, the pilot Craig was great, let my hubby sit in the front & get a first hand view of flying the wee classic De Havilland Beaver! Awesome doesnt even come close. We even saw whales & sealions. Thanks to Madison & Craig for making it happen!

We did a 25 min flight on a seaplane around the harbour and area surrounding Tofino. This was a fantastic trip and well worth the money. The pilot spotted some whales and circled around so that we could see them surfacing. The photos I took from the air were stunning. Our pilot was really friendly and made us feel comfortable. Would do this again for sure.
