So fun to watch the tides come in and out. Easy to walk the length of the beach and enjoy the sounds of the waves!

we walked all over the beach at low tide and saw surfers, dog walkers, wind surfers and wanderers like ourselves, out enjoying the wild wind and gorgeous west coast scenery

Truly a relaxing and peaceful beach especially when it’s empty. It was a cold September day that we went and I loved just listening to the beach. There were some surfers in the water in the distance and it’s fun to watch them.

Pay for parking at one of the designated areas and be sure to walk both segments and go up to Frank Island at low tide.

Water is very cold. Heed all warnings posted, especially with regards to rip currents.

We thought that a visit to a beach in the fog might be dull, but we would up with some interesting photos of sea creatures in tidal pools and shots of other visitors doing beachy things.

What a wonderful beach to walk and relax. Whether your there to surf or beach-comb or just take in the amazing views you will have a great experience. Easy paid parking is now in effect but the small amount to pay helps the town and it’s worth it.

Great sized beach, but freezing cold water even in the dead of summer. Bring some layers. Didn't see any amenities like washrooms, etc. So come prepared!
