Great place to watch the waves, sound of the roaring ocean wave after wave. Lots of surfers, tidal pools at low tide. Nice beach to sit and chill or build sandcastles with kids. Lots of room for dogs and kids to run amuck!

Our favourite resort in Tofino is on this beach. This is an active beach with lots of surfing activity. The shoreline is very deep and easily walkable, it took us an hour to walk the entire length of the beach and back at a comfortable pace. The wind-blown trees along the shoreline are fascinating to look at.

We stayed at Pacific Sands Beach Resort during our time in Tofino so it was easy to get access to Cox Bay Beach. We walked the beach every morning. It was noticeably cleaner than other beaches in town which makes it much more enjoyable.

Lucky to be staying at the Long Beach Lodge Resort so walking on Cox Bay was simple for us. Beautiful weather was great for visitors and surfers alike.

We visited Cox Beach during our BC Roadtrip August 2022, staying at Surf Grove Campground. We enjoyed watching the surfers (next time we do, too), walking on the beach, the atmosphere at the Bar and the sunsets. Just great!

I did a surfing lesson here with Surf Sisters and it was just the right amount of wave for a beginner when I was there.

We stayed only 2 days at this beach, sadly enough 2 days only. The Pasific Sands resort, the beach itself, the fog in the morning or right after the rain has something magical on this beach.

I think every Tofino surf company comes here for a reason...consistent nice breakers and plenty of room to spread out. Plus good facilities and ample parking near Surf Grove Campground.

Sorry I cannot answer it but I can offer advice. Ask the resort there as they will be the experts.
Also you could call Zoe Bakery and Cafe in Ucluelet as she makes wonderful custom wedding cakes and with Zoe also ask the Bakery in Tofino.
Zoe surfs and is likely to know cox and make cakes there for weddings. Get one from her. Sumptuous, S Fuller

There is a dock in tofino and I have seen some fisherman fishing off the beaches. The best would be to go down to fishing docks and ask someone there... also you might need a licence ?
