Still Standing, Still Beautiful
Jul. 2021
While I've found myself disappointed and depressed at the number of architectural marvels that have gone "under wraps" as serious work is undertaken on their exteriors, it was a delight to get downtown and see "The Station" is not only still standing, but still functional. Built over one hundred years ago to handle transcontinental trains, it has renaissanced into a twenty-first century transit hub for sky-trains and sea-buses. It has gone from bringing immigrants from the east, to serving commuters from all points of the compass. And, as the photographs show, it retains its original artwork and gingerbread. If you are from out-of-town and enjoy architecture, you'll love this!

Unique Structure
May 2021
Always enjoy coming here to see the unique architecture, as this is the main stopping location for Sky Trains / Seabus & Wets Coast Express. Nicely located in downtown Vancouver & easy way to access the North Shore!

More Than Just A Transit Hub
Jul. 2020
Tourists will, in all likelihood, be in this building, as it is on the airport rapid transit line, the Skytrain Line to the southeast, and the ferry to the north shore. In addition, it serves the commuter trains heading east. The central location is a great to place to meet people, and enjoy the fast food outlets while waiting.
But, I always take a few minutes to enjoy the architecture of this 100+- year old building, and hope you will too.

Handsome Station
Oct. 2019
This is an attractive suburban rail station, a working place with a few places to get takeaway food and drink as you dash for your train. Right on the water, nice architecture.

Historical & functional
Jan. 2020
Waterfront Station is the southern terminus of the Seabus, often called the 'ferry' from Vancouver to North Vancouver. It's a historical building which includes access to not only the Seabus, but other transit options including the Skytrain, WestCoast Express, and Translink buses. Lots of food and shopping options - busy place.

Good

Convenient train for getting to airport, etc., but too bad you have to walk all the way to the Cordova St. entrance when there's another entrance that could be used closer to the waterfront.
