This was a nice area of town to visit. We are all boaters so very much enjoyed looking at the Marina and boats for sale. WE also ate dinner down there overlooking the boats and water.. Past the Marina going south, the tall wall overlooking the water edge had a great path on top for more sight seeing. The Seawall walk its called. Watching the planes come in and out, and the weird floating fuel dock was neat. Lots of grass to sit on and enjoy the sun in the in the coal Harbour Seaside park. There were a fair amount of concrete stairs in case you cant manage that. Lots of people watching, some weird ones and not. Afterwards walked back through the city city to get back to the hotel which was actually sort of a short cut to get out of there.

Wes and his brother, Tyler, at Coal Harbour Boat Rentals, were courteous and friendly. We rented a 21’ boat from them last Friday, July 7th while on vacation in Vancouver. They were fantastic at pointing out all the areas of interest around the harbour on Google Earth before leaving the marina, so we knew exactly how to route our journey. We saw a lot of wildlife, including Bald Eagles, Herons, and Loons. In addition, we were able to get great photos and videos of Silver Falls and Granite Falls, which are two hidden waterfalls only accessible by boat within Indian Arm. I highly recommend that anyone visiting Vancouver check them out…and recommend that you rent the boat for a minimum of 4 hours, as there’s so much to see.

Lovely waterfront walk. On the waterside is the marina and sea plane departure area. On the landside is a park area with plenty of flowers and bushes. Good to stroll down when you have the time. Traffic is kept away.

A beautiful place for a stroll along the waterfront. Some shops were closed, probably due to covid, but nice parks and we always enjoy looking at the different boats. Geese were out as were people walking their dogs and playing on the grass area.

Stayed in hotel overlooking the marina. Fabulous location. To the left we could walk along the sea wall to Stanley Park and to the right past the cruise ship terminal , where you can take the ferry over to North Island (a must do) . Walk a bit further to Gastown . Lots of cafe’s and eateries . I recommend this location to anyone visiting Vancouver .

After passing along Harbor Green Park, on our way to Stanley Park, our walk took us along the marina. The variety of vessels included true luxury crafts (maintained by a small army of deckhands), to house boats, modest little family boats, tour or dinner boats, and just about everything in between.

There's an incredible houseboat at the beginning of the marina walk; it is hard to miss. It is the brightest blue there ever could be. Such a beauty! Such character! We learned a lot about it when the owner of a neighboring yacht "Fish and Chicks" came out on his deck to talk with us. He says it is the most photographed boat in the marina (I can understand why).

The marina is further west (more towards Stanley Park) than it is to the Convention Center complex of buildings. This is a true marina with boat docking slips; the marina backs up (roughly speaking) to the Denman Neighborhood in the West End.

We took a trip to visit friends in Vancouver BC. The city is one of the most beautiful we have ever experienced, seeming to rising out of the forest in all directions. Note: we were actually there in September 2019.
