Philip K Dick wrote about this bridge in the Divine Invasion. God himself came down to take a gander at it, and claimed it was the most beautiful place on earth. So there.

The Lion's Gate Bridge benefits from its location. Heading northbound you get a great view of North Van, West Van, and the mountains arising behind it. But, be advised, be the passenger, not the driver. The bridge is only three lanes wide with the middle lane reversing for traffic. If you must look, for god's sake go to one of... More

The bridge connects Stanley Park to North and West Vancouver. It provides a scenic view of the harbor and surrounding areas. It can get a little congested as there are only 2 lanes one way and 1 the other, and they change depending on the time of day (2 into Vancouver in the morning and 2 out in the evening).

This is a standard bridge with nothing special. The views are very nice and it is pretty busy.I went on it with a tour bus and the ride was good.

A classic old style suspension bridge with great views from many parts of the city. Very photoworthy and set in beautiful Stanley Park.

The bridge is free to cross and has a nice view from the crest. If you like the beauty of a bridge this is one that you should see. Nice views of it from all angles in Stanley park.

Staying in Stanley Park

Neighbourhood Profile
Stanley Park
Stanley Park is Vancouver's premier spot to get up close and personal with nature and animals. The grassy expanse offers outdoor teahouses and stunning views, beachfront hideaways and splash parks. It is a typical getaway spot for friends and families, especially as it is home to Vancouver's aquarium, and some of its best equestrian outlets.
