One of the best aquariums I have ever visited, with friendly and informative staff. The Beluga Whales are worth it alone but there is so much more. The underwater viewing of the dolphins if fun too - they pose for the camera if they know you're taking photos! I wide range of exhibits and experiences for all ages, in the... More

this is by far the best aquarium we have ever visited. The exhibits are well kept, the staff is knowledgeable and it is well laid out.

Vancouver Aquarium may not be the best aquarium in terms of its scale and collections, but it may be one of the most family-oriented aquariums that I ever visited. The 4-D movie Polar Express was an inspiring short movie for families with little kids. The aquarium exhibits a lot of cute marine creatures and tries to minimize the text description.... More

I love the aquarium!! I love that it focuses generally on the marine life found just off our very own shoreline! There are other areas represented as well, but the local feel is GREAT!

Our kids love the fish tanks, displays, and outdoor shows. But unless you have a special affection for water life and its colours, it may not excite you. Reaching the aquarium can be challenging for a novice to Vancouver roads. It's located inside Stanley Park, meaning you'll have to navigate the park's winding pathways to get there. Parking and admission... More

Sorry, this review long overdue, from Summer of 2015.. Be warned. We parked along the back of the aquarium, where a line of other cars were parked. We went in spent an amazing 3 hours and came out to a $40 parking ticket. Such a disappointment. We just followed the crowd and parked, like everyone else that got a ticket... More

The aquarium offers lots to see and our kids absolutely loved it. Great range of marine life and bird life, and the cafe's good too!

My kids have learnt so much from visiting the aquarium and doing there classes. They have grown up to be very compassionate individuals and have a deep love of the ocean and its creatures. Thank you for having this amazing facility in our city.

One of the better aquariums in North America and no matter how many times I go there my kids always enjoy it. If you visit Vancouver with children and want something to do I recommend it. Make a day of it and go down to the water park in Stanley Park after you are done.

Staying in Stanley Park

Neighbourhood Profile
Stanley Park
Stanley Park is Vancouver's premier spot to get up close and personal with nature and animals. The grassy expanse offers outdoor teahouses and stunning views, beachfront hideaways and splash parks. It is a typical getaway spot for friends and families, especially as it is home to Vancouver's aquarium, and some of its best equestrian outlets.
