vancouver aquarium is an awesome place to spend an afternoon viewing all the aquariums.. some small some huge.. there are killer whales, dolphins and propoises, sea otters and beluga whales in the huge outside pools.. i doubt there is nothing that swims that is not...More

The Vancouver Aquarium is hosting two beluga whales. It's spectacular to see these whales up close. The Aquarium also has other sea mammals from Canada, such as porpoises, dolphins, seals and otters. A lot of fish from the Canadian waters as well as tropic fish...More

What a fabulous outing for the grandparents and grandchildren. The jelly fish were a hit with the 10 month old. The four year old is still drawing pictures of dolphins and bats! Wonderful break in the cafeteria. Lots of people but still designed to hold...More

It was a bit cloudy with us and we thought it was going to rain so decided to give the aquarium a go. Really knowledgable staff and interactive exhibits, lots to keep the kids entertained.

Went there spontaneously and we were delightfully surprised at the extensiveness of the ocean life displayed. Went on a holiday so it was understandably swamps with families.

Thanks for your replies. I think we'll drive to the Aquarium this time and save the sea bus/city bus adventure until he is older and I don't have so many things to carry.

Very small aquarium, and sadly the beluga whales which were the main attraction have passed away.
