More tourist information offices should be like this. free wifi, brochures, maps and friendly and knowledgeable staff listening to your plans and advising you. You can also buy transport tickets from here. I popped here regularly to plan and organise my activities.

Located in the heart of the hotel area, this great centre offers tourists lots of information about all the things they can do in Vancouver and one can usually purchase tickets for some of the special activities there as well. Staff are very helpful!

Found this gem on our first day in Vancouver down by the waterfront . Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Nothing is too much trouble and there is a wealth of informational brouchures to choose from. I would recommend the first time traveller to this district to come down and talk to the staff.

The person wasnt very helpful at all. There wasnt anything new beyond the research that i had already done. Maybe if you hadnt planned AT ALL then i would recommend the visitors centre but for me personally, you could probably skip this place.

This well-run visitor center offers myriad free brochures, maps, bus schedules, discounts on some attractions and sightseeing tours, complimentary Internet access, information on lodging and the list goes on. Knowledgeable staff stands ready to answer questions and will seek visitors out during quiet periods. For example, we arrived at 4 on a Saturday afternoon in November when only two other... More

My first visit to Vancouver (husband had been before about 20 years ago) and so we decided to get some information on what to do on our 4 days in this beautiful city. We had researched a few things but the staff member (Andre) who we spoke suggested some alternative activities which were fantastic. He gave us maps, time tables... More

We had a few questions which were answered completely and very friendly. We got maps and different leaflets and had a short rest at the seats. We will probably come back and have a look at the tickets for tonights box office in the visitor information!

If you are like me, you are probably saying "I've lived here for years, what can they tell me I don't already know?". Short answer - lots. Just because we live here doesn't mean we are keeping up with all the changes in this rapidly growing city. Also, interesting to find out about all the FREE stuff available. In addition,... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
Vancouver's business district, the Downtown area is bustling with smartly-dressed folks balancing their lattes and briefcases to and from work. The area's plethora of contemporary commercial, residential, and corporate spaces has bred a landscape of nouveau restaurants, chain cafes, and upmarket shopping options. However, located right on the waterfront of Vancouver's energetic Harbour, Downtown is a also popular public meeting spot, with a massive public library and convention center attracting a bevy of visitors both local and not, as well as a hotspot for the arts, being home to some of Vancouver's most cutting-edge galleries. With behemoth architecture and a professional air, Downtown means business.
