I booked what I thought was a round trip train ride from Vancouver to Seattle, only to arrive in Vancouver to find out I was going by bus. Trains only run early in the morning and again late at night, however, the website does not show this clearly. I made sure that my trip back was on the train. It... More

It is a train station, you actually go through immigration pre clearance if you were to go to Seattle for example on the train. Even early in the morning the lines were long because of this. We arrived early to catch the Megabus to Seattle. There were a few shops, got wifi and the staff were nice enough to direct... More

This station is now used for bus services and is central to about every place in Vancouver. The heritage is unique inside and out.The foliage and well kept lawns make this a historical must see when in Vancouver!

We went from Vancouver to Seattle. The ride was great and the station was very clean. It had a little confectioners that came handy.

Staff isn't nice but not rude either. Very limited food options and the toilet was broke so we had to use a portapotty

The Pacific Central Station does what it needs to do: gets you off and onto a train--it's also conveniently located for catching a bus or sky train to carry you on to your ultimate destination in Vancouver and environs. The station is not someplace I'd choose to spend a day though it is pretty attractive from outside and they're doing... More

Limited services as the station is under going some renovations. Lots of banging and drilling when we were there. Best to arrive just before your train then to plan to spend the day.

Bring your camera but watch your back. BE aware of your surroundings and keep one eye out for the types of people around you. Great for photos and one of Vancouver's oldest building left standing.

Staying in Yaletown & False Creek North

Neighbourhood Profile
Yaletown & False Creek North
Yaletown has risen from the ashes of its rough-and-tumble industrial past into one of Vancouver's new chicest neighbourhoods. The place responsible for originating of the phrase 'skid row' might not call to mind independently-owned boutiques and terraced cafes, but having swallowed the waterfront lines of False Creek North, the resulting amalgamation transformed the area into an elegant, stylish hotspot with a view. Its youthful vibe owes to the many young families and young professionals who live there, bolstering nightlife and restaurant variety along its cobbled streets. It is the flagship neighbourhood for modern revitalization, and the It-Spot for boutique hotels and modish eats.
