Guided Salmon Fishing Charters located right in the heart of Granville Island, Vancouver BC. A hop, skip and jump from the Granville Island market where you can have a pint after a great day fishing with us. We are open 7 days per week and offer morning and afternoon guided charters. Booked a 6 hr charter for multi generational fishing trip. Captain Kevin was absolutely awesome. Great stories, guided us to great fishing spots, and took in our limit of crab. Bites On was a solid 5 out of 5; from booking to the trip itself. We’ll done !!

Amazing day we caught so many fish! None of us know how to fish but we were helped every step of the trip.

From the first phone call , this company does it right!
We discussed options and timing and the process was simple, and did not have the upsell you get from the rest of the industry.
From when we booked and met Lars at the dock to the final drop off things were Amazing!

The Captain called me the day before departure to let me know that an earlier start time would benefit the fishing. We did a run out to the Sand Heads after dropping two crab traps, (8 keepers and 1 red rock crab) and almost immediately hooked into a mammoth white Chinook. What a great time! Saw some dolphins or porpoises along the way too!!!

Had a great day on the water with our captain Lars. The vessel was clean and comfortable. We were able to land a few large Chinook within our first few hours, one of which were in excess of 20lbs. Will return for this experience.

Bites on Fishing was amazing right from booking to the actual fishing adventure. We were booking for 5 kids, and Bites on Fishing was the only fishing tour I found that would take kids, and the cost was very reasonable. Everything was easy, clear, and professional.
We didn’t know what to expect in terms of fishing, but we lucked out with a beautiful calm day. It was very comfortable in the spacious, clean boat with plenty of storage. Lars was welcoming, efficient and clearly knew what he was doing and we set off without delay. Lars was patient and knowledgeable and answered the children’s many questions throughout the trip. The kids were thrilled to catch their own fish and we were amazed at the size of the salmon that could be caught right by Vancouver. I thought you would have to travel hours to catch the salmon that we caught. With Lars clear guidance, one of the boys, who is only 60 pounds, caught a huge 30 pound salmon! And it ended up being a white salmon, which is even more valuable. The cost of that one fish would have paid for our whole adventure!
With Lars expertise all the kids caught at least one fish and wow... the fish were huge! There is no way that we would have been so successful without Lars. He knew the best spots, the speed, the bait, the depth, etc etc to best catch these fish. As well, he instructed us on how to successfully reel the fish in without losing them.
As a bonus, we also got some crabs from our crab trap at the end of the day. Also, Lars cleaned and gutted our fish very efficiently, much to the amazement of the kids.
The kids pretty much summed up the day with their opinions of, “this is the best day ever!” And “that was so much fun!” And “can we go again!”
I would highly recommend Bites on Fishing and Lars to anyone who is looking for an unforgettable fun fishing adventure... and so much fish!

Awesome day! We had so much fun. Lars was a great captain. If your looking for a COVID friendly outting this was the best. Went home with salmon, crab, prawns, perch. We did a full day trip and it was worth every penny. Highly recommended

Great 8 hour trip in English Bay with Lars as our fishing guide. The fish were fickle but we still managed a couple of salmon (and two missed fish). Lars also filleted the fish for us at the end of the trip. Definitely recommend and would go again.

We had such an amazing time fishing with Lars. He is a great host, very calm and knowledgeable. The guy is a ninja, he would get a fish hooked so quick before we would realize what was happening and that the fish was actually biting. We hooked 4 Coho salmon and managed to reel in 2 of them on a day where apparently bunch of other fishermen bombed.
