Multi-media astronomy shows in the Planetarium Star Theatre are enhanced by 20-minute live demonstrations in the GroundStation Canada Theatre that keep you up-to-date on the latest space news. The Cosmic Courtyard ehibit gallery contains a real piece of moon rock you can actually touch, a J-2 Rocket Engine, artifacts and simulations. On Saturday nights you can visit the Gordon MacMillan Southam Observatory right next door and, if the skies are clear, you can see stars and maybe even a planet through the .5 metre Cassegrain telescope.

We visited this place with our grandsons (9 and 11). They really enjoyed it. Great demonstrations and planetarium shows. A little pricey - but not bad. Good for a half day visit.

Nice and informative visit. The planetarium was superb, and very interesting and informative. The walkthough is small, but interesting, worth a visit

This place is a bit of a walk from the bus stop but well worth the visit. This was my wife's first time to touch a moon rock. The science demonstration was interesting too.

Vancouver Space Centre is good for all ages and gives you a feeling of how small we are in the big picture. Sometimes we need reminding of this fact. Asteroids to the first man on the moon, including a theatre to rest while still learning...More

Oh dearie me! This museum seriously needs a significant cash injection. Most of the exhibits were not working and the displays somewhat lacking. I came here 14 years ago and I recall a somewhat better experience. But it seems that nothing new has been added...More

I was slightly disappointed that I needed to pay admission for both the Space Centre and then the Musuem separately since they were on the same floor in the same building. The space exhibits were fine but not exciting by any means. The saving feature...More

I had a family pass to go to the HR Macmillan Space. It seemed bigger and more exciting when I visited as a kid, but I was probably more excited about not being in school. You can basically divide the visit into 3 or 4...More

The staff were lovely and the live science show in the theatre was well run. However the museum is unloved and many exhibits were broken. I think we struggled to stretch the visit to an hour. Other than vending machines, there are no catering facilities...More

This museum is small and we were disappointed until we went in to view the shows on their big screen. The seats lay back and the roof of the theater becomes the sky and space. It was really enjoyable and educational. It also felt really...More

Was so disappointed by this. The planaterium show was dated, graphics weren't very clear Exhibition hall - yes just the one - was tired and dated. Several of the interactives didn't work And there weren't many exhibits anyway Greatly disappointed

You definitely don't need to buy tickets in advance. When I went it was $18 for an adult and $15 for a senior (over 55). The planetarium where they do the movies and presentations was included in the admission price (and in... More
