A superb sunny Saturday, two seven year olds and a pirate crew non pareil, what more could you ask for?
The crew (Salty Jim and Silver in particular) were engaging and carried the show off well for the entire False Creek trip (1 1/2 hours).
The girls loved it, the grandparents loved it, I highly recommend it for any kid five and up, or any adult who can think like a five year old.
$40 a very reasonable price

We went on the Granville Island Pirate Adventures with our 3 kids and had a blast. They were totally entertained the whole time with songs, story-telling, dancing, spraying water cannons, and finding hidden treasure.
Tiny, Jagger, and Crusty (along with Stinky Pete!) were fantastic with the kids (and adults).
Adults had a chance to also take in the views of False Creek from the ship.
Such a fun afternoon.

My husband and I went on an evening Firework Cruise. I took my husband for his birthday and he had the best time. We both did. Some people only imagine sailing into the sunset, we actually got to do exactly that. As we sailed out to the bay the sky was orange while the sun was setting over the horizon. While we were heading out the Pirates on board sang and did little skits which were very entertaining. We were able to shoot water canons from the ship at other boats in the harbor. We were also served snacks while we were out and we were very impressed, who gets prawns on a pirate ship? Once we were situated we were kept entertained until the firework show started. I have seen the fireworks before but not from my position in the water watching from the west with the city in the backdrop. Absolutely stunning. Once the show was over we made it back to the dock in good time. I will be back myself and I will also bring my nephew's for the day show . Thank you for the amazing adventure.

Huge thank you to captain crusty, salty Jim, silver and stinky Pete, the crew that made our trip such a great family memory. We were invited aboard for a 7 year olds birthday party. Our group was wide ranging in age and there was about 30 of us. Upon arrival the staff offered costumes to help us set up. It was there in the office or shop we were given pirate names and offered customers. On board the crew were extremely accommodating. The treasure hunt and commentary was directed towards the kids of course although there was plenty of laughs mixed in for the parents also. We enjoyed it so much we are looking into rebooking a sunset sail “bring your own grog”apart from the amazing crew and comfortable vessel false creek offers lots to see and was a spectacle all on its own. Highly recommend. A Vancouver must do.

This is a great trip for kids and my wife and I took our son (9) and daughter (7) You get dressed up at the start location and can ask for face paint (scar or moustache). You then board the boat with the crewe who are in full character. They do a great performance as you sail and ensure that the kids have a great time with singing and dancing and occasionally dragging a few parents in. I would highly recommend the trip for a fun few hours of activity!

Highly recommend! My department of ~30 people went for an end-of-year event, and had a blast! In an hour and a half, we did some pirate activities (Talk like a pirate competition, dance like a pirate competition, found treasure in the deep, and watched our VP 'walk the plank'). It took everyone some time to get into the spirit, but the crew put on a great show and made sure we had a lot of fun. We had time to socialize and take in the views as it went out into Burrard inlet with great views of the west end and Stanley Park. Thanks to Jagger, Silver, and Captain Crusty for a great sail!

We embarked on pirate adventures on the Black Spirit to celebrate our son turning 7. We went in September, so there were no walk ons and we had a whole ship to ourselves.
Before we got on a ship, they got their pirate names and got dressed like pirates. The crew was amazing, fully emerged into their performance and the kids were hooked and involved for the whole sail. From learning to be pirates, to going on pirate quests to find hidden treasure in the sea, the kids were living their best lives. If you want your kid to have an unforgettable birthday experience, Pirate adventures got your back!
Also, if there's an inner child in you, Pirate Adventures offer sunset cruise for adults only!

I took my 4 and 7 yr old sons and they LOVED it. Amazing that the actors/pirates stayed in character the entire time. They were so much fun! My top moments were getting turned into pirates, finding the bottle/treasure map, spraying stinky Pete with the cannons (he was brilliant!) and of course pulling up the treasure chest. I wish I was able to leave these guys a jumbo tip as they work so hard and deserve it! Bravo!

It was a 65th birthday party for a senior that's young at heart and turning 29 yet once again. There was 11 of us, ages 3-65, and we ALL had wonderful and very memorable time. Grandma did well exhibiting her swordplay skills and the grandkid's favorite was firing the water cannons. There are picnic tables and a tent close by where we had a picnic lunch. Many thanks to Landlocked Louis, O'Reily (apologies if I got the name wrong, Stinky Pete, and Captain Scalawag. Cheers

Highly recommend for families with young children. The pirates were hilarious and threw a lot of adult innuendos so it was pure entertainment for adults and children alike. They were very engaged with the kids and had them very involved. Highly recommend this for tourists and locals! It’s so cute, and fun! Also don’t forget to tip! These guys go above and beyond, they deserve it.
