We arrived at the Vancouver Cruise terminal from our Alaska Cruise on Regent Seven Seas Navagator ship and was met by Alfred and Matt, who were easy to recognize with signs. Matt did a fantastic job showing us the sights and touring Vancouver in his luxury SUV. We saw everything in a short amount of time. Stanley Park, Chinatown, Gastown, Canada Place, Robson Street, West End,English Bay,Harbor
Front and toured Granville island. Had lunch at the Teahouse in Stanley Park! What a beautiful sunny day. Matt was a terrific tour guide! Don't miss the opportunity to see Vancouver!

Hello Cathie P It was my pleasure to experience Vancouver through your eyes. Thank you for providing some very insightful questions during our explorations of the city. As a guide, I'm often the centre of attention, but the interaction and questions are quite invigorating, providing me the impetus to keep learning and exploring, just as much as yourselves. It was an absolute pleasure spending the day with you folks, and it would be my pleasure to cross paths again in the future. Safe Travels Matthew P

Alfred picked us up from the airport yesterday after we landed and collected our bags. Very nice warm welcome to Vancouver. He put our luggage in the back of his suv and away we went. Alfred is very knowledgeable about Vancouver and filling us in on all the details the average person coming here would wonder or have questions about. He took us through every neighborhood showing us a snippet of what there is here in Vancouver. He was a great guide and very highly recommended. Felt like riding around with a friend, very laid back and comfortable. Thanks again Alfred you were great!

I highly recommend Vancouver Private Tours and would encourage anyone traveling to the Vancouver area to work with this top notch company.

Excellent experience working with Alfred to get tour booked and itinerary decided on. During initial communication he asked questions to create a great experience. Alfred also made a recommendation for a tour guide while in Victoria. EV Tours. While he handles transportation back and forth to Victoria, he uses another company for tours on the island.

Our driver/guide was Matthew and he was absolutely the best tour guide you could want. Our transportation and tour began with a pick up at our hotel in Whistler. We came down to valet 10 minutes early and our tour guide, Matthew was already waiting for us in a new GMC Yukon XL.

Matt gave us an outstanding tour of top sites from Whistler to Vancouver. He knows the areas well and was able to avoid crowds and congested times to maximize what we were able to visit. Matt was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly and fun. He took great photos and airdropped them to us. He had the patience of a saint to then show my mom other ways to take photos on her iphone. He truly went above and beyond to create an amazing experience for my mom's birthday trip. Thank you Matt!

This tour company is very small ... just two vehicles ... the owner does the driving and guiding. He speaks numerous languages and seems quite knowledgeable about the area. His vehicles are NOT the most comfortable for a whole day of travel and he is very abrupt and rather short tempered. Rather poor planning as well - we were dropped off for antique shopping in Fort Langley before the stores even opened. He also managed to get lost ... looking for an address - no GPS in the vehicle. I would hesitate to join another tour with him. We have used private tour operators in other cities and been very pleased but this one left me feeling very annoyed.

Dear snowbirdYuma One of your clients brought you'r review to my attention, and, even though you are entitled to your opinion I am compelled to answer, and to hopefully put a few things in perspective. Yes, my company is very small because I specialize in Private/Customized excursions for individuals and small groups in a variety of languages. I intend to keep it that was so that I, at all times, am able to offer the best service possible as opposed to operating a large fleet of vehicles and staff, where often times the details are overlooked I am sorry that you did not feel comfortable in the vehicle which was used for your excursion. Unfortunately these are the kind of vehicles which are mostly used in North America for the number of people in your group (8 Guests). One also needs to keep in mind that some of your party has mobility difficulties which may have exacerbated the feeling of uncomfortableness. I am also sorry that you feel I am short tempered and abrupt. I do happen to come from Europe and perhaps my sense of humour and/or approach may well be very different from yours. I take issue however with your observations. re: Poor Planning. I discussed the itinerary, which I designed, at length, with your Executive Assistant and he was in full agreement. As you know, I was bound to arrive for your dinner engagement by 1700, which unfortunately compromised the Fort Langley stop a little. Your Executive Assistant did not seem to find this too much of a problem. I also do not notice any mention of the restaurant choice, per my itinerary, yet you gave kudos to said restaurant. You may not know that I had a complete set of Google Maps directions printed outlining the location of the private Residence in the outlying area your dinner engagement was located in. What was unfortunate on all our parts was that the signage had changed and was different at a particular intersection as compared to the printed instructions. An issue that would have persisted whether or not GPS was involved as there are numerous cases of GPS directions being incorrect due to unforeseen construction and signage changes. I opted to ask some locals for directions, and you must admit that we did arrive in time for your dinner engagement. I appreciate your comments. I would have preferred that you had shared your observations in person , so that things could have been explained on the spot in a more personable manner. Regardless, lessons are learned every day and your feedback has been noted and appropriate changes implemented to ease any future issues Yours Truly Alfred Esmeijer (Owner) A.E. Absolutely the best tour we've ever experienced. Matthew was our guide, friendly and very well informed about all aspects of Vancouver. The tour was most informative and we were able to visit all areas on our agenda. The ability to have our own person to ask questions that interested us and Matt knew all areas well. I will always book a private tour where available, by the end of our four hours we had a new friend. I can't say enough about this nice young man. We learned about restaurants, shopping and more. This tour was nothing short of excellent.

I booked Alfred after reading reviews on Trip Advisor and I knew immediately from the detailed itinerary he sent me that he was our guy! We were driven around in his comfortable vehicle for the 4 hour tour. Alfred provided expert commentary about the various areas of the city and Vancouver's interesting history. There were some short stops along the way for photo ops and a quick bite to eat on Granville Island. All five of us felt as if we had seen so much of Vancouver in a stress free way! It was definitely worth paying a little extra for this enjoyable private tour.

We had only 1 full day in Vancouver before boarding the Rocky Mountaineer and wanted to see as much as possible in 6 hours - Matt was our man!!! We went to the Capilano Suspension Bridge, a salmon hatchery, Cypress Mountain lookout, Granville island, Stanley Park, Gastown, Yaletown, Chinatown, Little Italy and the Olympic Village. Im sure I may have omitted a few stops but we got a wonderful overview of the city and its surrounds, complete with history, good stories and an extremely personable, friendly, fun and knowledgeable young guide. We couldn't have been more pleased and would highly recommend this service!!

We will hopefully be able to show you all the sights and even MORE locales on a future trip, we await your return! Again, thanks so much!

We met Matt at our hotel, he was early so we loaded up and hit the road. Matt was very entertaining, felt like meeting up with an old friend He took us on a four hour tour, and he even kept our 3 kids entertained and engaged. His knowledge of the area, it's history, the movie industry, and current economic trends was unexpected and made the tour very informative. We ended our tour at the market, Matt ran around picking up little treats while we waited for our recommended sea salt and Rosemary Montreal meat bagels. Highly recommend this tour to all.

Hey there Tim M I hope you all had a great time on the cruise after since I had a blast with you guys on the tour. Thanks for the kind words. Tours work both ways, and the groups make the trip just as much if not more than the guide at times. You guys had the right attitude and I enjoyed the trip. The bagels are pretty great aren't they? I did look up the wall of snow as well, that was pretty impressive to see. I'm kind of glad I was in Vancouver for it. All the best to you and the family and hopefully our paths will cross once again!

My boyfriend and I arrived 2 weeks ago for a winter getaway and Alfred started off our private Vancouver tour from the airport. With a comfy luxury SUV and a delightful guide, we knew we were in good hands. Alfred is very proud of his adopted city and it shows in the pride in which he shared nuggets of the city's history and it's many attractions. We toured all of the downtown neighborhoods, Stanley Park as well as Granville Island. A special request to view the Jimi Hendrix Shrine was easily accommodated. I would highly recommend his services to other travelers!

Thank you very much Mlouvigny! It was fun to be able to change things up and accommodate you both and visit the Shrine! It's a treat for me as well, since it's never something people ask for! This is a great city and that's just one of the little nuggets about Vancouver I love!

We had a private three hour tour with Alfred today covering mainly Capilano Suspension Bridge and the districts around town stopping at a number of highlights on the tour. We found Alfred very pleasant to talk to and extremely knowledgeable of his city. he is a wonderful tour guide and we can recommend him and his SUV as it was very comfortable and suited us. We were two people who enjoyed our extended three hour tour.
Alfred was recommended by our hotel Fairmont Hotel - thank you very much.
