After much research of tours in & around Vancouver, we decided that we wanted to see more of Stanley Park in a short time, rather than a hop & on bus that only takes you into the park & leaves you there. So our choice was the Horse Drawn Tour, which was on par with Hop On & Off Bus tours price wise, but think it gave us a much better value for money experience.

It was slightly misty that day, so it was a prefect way to see Stanley Park, while staying warm, as they give you nice rugs to cuddle up in - very nice touch.

Our Tour Guide was lovely & told us lots of info, along with asking us questions.

Tour was appx an hour - went to the Totem Poles and even though a quick stop, that is was fine, as just wanted pictures really. Then we saw more of the harbour, few more sightseeing park views. Had a lovely view of Lion Gates Bridge.

Also when we brought the tickets (which we found out when researching tours), we got a $5 discount of the Vancouver Aquarium, along with allowing us to go through the 'Express Lane' at the Aquarium. So if you are going to do the both, go to Horse Drawn first, to get the discount. It worked really well for us, as at the Aquarium there was at least at 30 min wait in the normally line, so was excellent for us to go through the 'Express Lane'.

Family of 4 (4 and 6 year olds) took this tour mid August on the first one of the day. Our tour lady was great very informative about the park and other areas around BC and about the horses pulling our carriage, about all the horses they have for the tours and also good fun and very interactive with all on the ride. It’s a good way to see a lot of the park at a leisurely speed and be informed about all the areas of the park. It’s takes about hour around for the entire tour. It’s quite expensive to do but it does get you round the park and our guide was very informative about all the areas. Which some of them we then walked back to see more of, would recommend doing.

Loved this ride around Stanley Park. Chose the gentle pace around a portion of the park due to mobility issues. Guide was excellent and provided an informative commentary. The tour allowed us to see a great deal of the park without any effort. A beautiful way to see a jewel of Vancouver.

The Stanley Park Horse-Drawn Tour is a convenient way to see many things in Stanley Park. It's probably better for people who can't walk or take another form of moving around. We prefer to walk as it allows us to stop and enjoy the surroundings whenever we feel like it. Besides, going with so many other people in a crowded carriage is not for us. Still an interesting way to see things!

Was a great ride and an informative diver. The down side was we were dropped off in the rose garden NOT at our departure site. NO directions given about how to get back. Felt badly for those with mobility issues or young children. We were never told this was the plan nor was it in any of the literature. All the literature said we would be dropped off at the departure site. A bad ending to an otherwise pleasurable tour.

We paid for 4 adult tickets. EXPENSIVE for what you get. The idea seems cool until you actually get on. We had Kate as our guide. She was annoying as during the entire ride she talked out of her nose and had a very nasally voice. Super annoying. The ride was ok as the park is nice but we did not get to enjoy it over the incessant talking.

The horse ride is what you expect, and it's a good ride. The driver gave a lot of facts to us, but at least one was misrepresented (engineering iron rings were not made from the steel beam from the bridge), but it was enjoyable. Other patrons talked a lot and she tried her best to nicely ask them to quit talking so others could hear what she was trying to say. A lot of talk about trees, but it is a park so to be expected.

It's a decent ride, but can be kind of cramped if you are stuck with seat-mates that won't move over. The area covered isn't overly large but it's enjoyable.

This was a disappointing tour - and it should not have been. Lovely trams and horses, beautiful park and a wonderful day. Buying tickets was an exercise in incompetence and bureaucracy. We waited a long time. Tour is advertised as an hour but is less than that - even given the five minutes we spent waiting on a boring path 'to give the horses a breather.' The guide is advertised as 'professional' but was not. Patronising down talk and a nasal performance voice which was hard to understand. At $40 it was expensive and poor value for money. Give it a miss and go for a walk.

Visited with my wife last week. Comfortable and moderately informative. A little pricey for what you get. Horses seemed to be treated well. But watch out: the staff can be very rude. We were misdirected to the wrong carriage by one staff member. When the driver came to collect our ticket she kept repeating over and over that we missed our ride and she wouldn't let it go. All the rides are the same so what's the difference? We did pay and clearly had not gone out previously. We did stay on the ride but this made things unnecessarily uncomfortable and somewhat embarrassing.

Our family of four enjoyed this horse-drawn carriage ride more than anything else we did in Stanley Park. The driver was a wealth of information giving interesting historical facts as well as pointing out things along the way such as an active Bald Eagle nest. Take some binoculars if you plan to go because there is much to see. A great trip we will always remember.
