Booked a fishing excursion with Pacific Angler, on Oct.28/2023..for 6 hrs. Eddie Matthel was our guide and captain on a 28 ft Grady White, the trip was awesome we landed quite a few chinook salmon and Eddie was very knowledgeable, as he has been fishing local waters around Vancouver BC for over 30 yrs...he is very well organized and explains everything even a beginner would understand. He is polite and courtesess, he stays on top of with communication and safety awareness...I would definitely recommend Pacific Anglers and Eddie Matthel as your guide...great fishing trip.

Very exciting fishing experience! We got 2 salmons for the first time in our lives! Captain Eddie was very friendly, he explained us a lot of things about the fishing of salmons and more. We also saw eagles and seals 🤩

If you are looking to get out on the waters around Vancouver to experience a fishing trip, then look no further than Pacific Angler. This was my 5th trip out with these guys, over the last 10 years, and they just keep on getting better.
Their boats are well setup, with the best gear, electronics, and skippers who know the local waters well. All their boats are well kept, clean, and well maintained. All the guides I have fished with are extremely knowledgeable about the local fisheries, and will get you into fish, even when its a slow day!!
Form the salt water class I attended ten years ago with Jason, to the last trip with captain Eddie, they have all been an amazing learning and fun times.
Highly recommend these guys to make your fishing adventure the best ever.

I could not ask for a better fishing experience! Our wonderful guide Josh was super knowledgeable and made sure we were all taken care of. We caught some pink and chinook salmon in an 8 hour charter, I appreciate him trying different spots and letting us have freedom in where we want to fish etc. Thank you Kathryn who helped us with the booking process and answering our questions. Thanks again for the awesome experience, we will definitely be back! :)

We had a wonderful time. Scheduling was easy and our captain (Eddie) was very knowledgeable and friendly. He had some great stories of the area and also great fishing stories. Captain Eddie took us to an area where there were a lot of fish and he is a very skilled fisherman. We got some great catches! The boat was well maintained and clean. We went with our three boys and everyone had a great time. We also enjoyed meeting the seals at the dock. We can’t wait to go again!

LOVED this so much and would do it again in a heartbeat. Eddie was our guide and was super professional, such a great guy to be on a. boat with for 6 hours. We encountered a rather chilly and rough wave day, but he made sure we all had fun and caught some salmon! I would absolutely book Eddie again and look forward to when we’re next in Vancouver so that we can!

For anyone looking to get out onto the waters around Vancouver - Pacific Angler is the best and IMO only choice. Beginning with the ease of connecting with Kathryn and booking a trip, receiving clear instructions and options for getting yourself organized, and having a central location to meet your Guide, all you have to do is hop aboard a super clean Grady White - sit back and enjoy the great views as you head out into the Georgia Strait.
On our most recent trip, Captain Eddie had us onto two big Chinook within ten minutes of having lines in the water before 8:00 am! Within two hours we had multiple “double-headers” and caught over ten fish. Some were two small to keep and others were too big to keep - but what a workout!! Between the Chinooks, Coho, Rockfish, and LingCod - what an awesome day!!
Eddie knows his stuff - he is extremely knowledgeable about all the fisheries in the area, and is an incredible story-teller - and not just your regular “fish stories”. Eddie will absolutely do his best to get you to have fish in the boat - he will undoubtably find the fish - the rest is up to you to enjoy the challenge to land them.
Be sure to choose Pacific Angler - you won’t be disappointed!

Terrific trip with Captain Eddy. We hit the best weather and perfect time for Chinook.
We had booked July 15th a few months in advance and as luck would have it the fishery for Chinook opened in zone 17 that same day.
Eddy knew exactly where to take us and the action started as soon as we arrived.
Our guide and boat and gear was top notch and it was a huge hit with the family.
Highly recommend and we will definitely re-book for next year.

Tremendous day fishing with our guide Josh!
First class equipment, top quality boat and unbelievable expertise of our guide Josh made for a perfect day. Our group of 4 were kept hopping with coho, spring and a pink. Josh knows where to find the fish and how to make the catch! We will be definitely looking to book with Josh again!

Six of my friends would like to go fishing but we would like to know how many people a boat can fit?
And what the is price?

Hi,
We can take a maximum of 6 guests on a trip. The price of the trip varies based on the length of the trip.
Here is a quick overview of our prices:
6 guests, 5 hour trip - $875+GST (5% tax)
6 guests, 8 hour trip - $1225+GST

What does this cost for 1 person
Pacific Angler
Vancouver, Canada
Hi Kathrine,
The rates are based on # of guests and length of the trip.
So for 1 guest on a 5 hour trip the rate is $600+GST (5% tax) for the trip. If you were looking for an 8 hour trip the rate for 1 guest on that trip is $925+GST
Our trips are private trips (e.g. reserved exclusively for you and your group). If there is only one guest and you were looking to share a trip to keep the costs down we can always add your name to our list of guests looking to share a charter and we can try to match you up with someone.
Please let us know if you have any other questions. Feel free to give us a call at 778.788.8582 if that's easier.
Thanks,
Kathryn

Hi Facundo,
If you're not interested in sturgeon fishing you can get out and do some salmon fishing with us.
There are a range of trip lengths you can do. Either 5, 8 or 10 hour trips. Prices vary on the length of trip you decide on and the number of gusts in your group. Will anyone else be joining you fishing? Or is it just yourself?
Let us know and we can give you some more details.
If it's easier you can always call us at 778.788.8582.
Thanks,
Kathryn
