Best seaplane company on the island! As an islander, I always fly Seair. Staff we super friendly and they offer free parking on the Nanaimo side for up to 7 days! This is such a great option, not to mention they are/ can be a lot cheaper than harbour air!
We just flew to YVR on Oct.30 from Nanaimo harbour and we are always in awe of how professional and friendly the staff are. I won’t fly with any other sea plane company. I would give 10 stars if I could.

We were due to fly from Nanaimo to Vancouver at 3:15pm, however we arrived early and were delighted to be offered an earlier flight with the added bonus that we could leave our hire car at the Seair site rather than taking it back to the hire depot.

Thank you for your 5 star review. We are pleased to offer a variety of fare tiers, each one with it's own perks, including flight change flexibility. We also work quite closely with the car rental companies in Nanaimo, and being able to leave the car at our terminal, is another added bonus. We are glad you had a terrific experience and do hope that you'll join us again.

I booked the Vancouver City Skyline tour as a surprise for my mums birthday and it was spectacular.
The booking process was quick and easy, communication was excellent.
We arrived and the check in was really quick, then our pilot arrived.
The seaplane was excellent, everyone has a window seat so the view is superb. The flight lasted longer than advertised and we got to see all the major sights of the city, they spent time showing us the plane after we landed and took some lovely photos for us.
Highly recommended.

Lifesaver! We were stuck in the ferry queue at Nanaimo when one of my friends realised he wouldn't make his flight from Vancouver, when I watched a seaplane land. I googled it and saw seair was nearby, so he booked a flight, and within the hour he was flying back. It was a fair price and he said the only complaint he had was that the plane was a bit small (he is a big lad) hence the 4 stars. They were very accommodating to the three of us even though only one of us was flying, and the flight was very scenic so I can't recommend them enough.

There are much better sea plane companies. The woman at the checkin was wonderful but the pilot and the plane were horrible.
There is NO customer service. The pilot just joked around pushing me into the plane through a 5 inch space and I scraped my knee and he could have if he was paying attention put down a seat so I could board properly. It smelled of exhaust for an hour and 45 minutes on our way to Sonora. I felt sick to my stomach and I was also sitting behind this large pilot who's seat was pushed all the way back so my knees were to the side the entire time.
I can not believe Sonora Resort a 5 star Relais & Chateau brand would put their passengers on this piece of junk. I have flown in many sea planes and have never experienced something so horrible.
One of the guests was not helped off the plane properly and gouged her shin. Sorry but Sonora Resort you have made a big mistake and it is not a good way to begin a trip to your 5 star property it does not fit your brand. Maybe you got a good profit margin but you ruined the inbound transport.

We’re two average locals that booked a tour for a celebration of our 10th-anniversary and first-ever seaplane trip from Vancouver.
The spectacular scenery of Seair’s Glacier & Alpine Lake Adventure is hard to top but the team’s customer service experience soared to the occasion to make our trip extra special as we played tourists in our own city. While waiting for our flight, we also noticed how the Seair team went out of their way to afford each customer with V.I.P. treatment.

In Janurary I booked a flight for 4 people to travel in July this year. Our plans changed in April but I forgot about the booking.... Seair send you NO communications in the lead up to the flight, no reminder about wearing a facemask, no reminder about turning up ontime.... which would have lead me to cancelling the flight... I am very disappointed about their communications which is such a shame.

If you are looking to leave your destination at the scheduled time and have a flight to catch at YVR, you may want a back up plan. Our flight was over 35 minutes late in picking us up. No text, no email, we had to phone them twice and both times received the same response, he will be there in 10-15 minutes.
I don't recommend Seair.

I have tried to find the "select seat" option while I reserve the flight on your website , but can find nothing about it.
Could you tell me how to do it? I read comments that passengers will reserve "select seats" (co-pilot and bigger seats by windows) at counter of terminal when they show up there, otherwise no guarantee for passengers who booked online. Is that true?

I'm sorry but we do not have a "select seat" option or pre-assigned seat option available online, as you mentioned. If you would like to request a specific seat such as beside the pilot or a direct window seat, please contact our office directly. We'd be more than happy to make a request for you and there is no additional charge.

About seairseaplanes if our flight is delayed for some reasons how could I do? I booked ticket to Edmonton next day, I prepare to take Seairseaplanes from Nanaimo to Vancouver international airport . So I want to know what is the solution for a delay if it may occur.

Hello W D, thank you for your question. If there are potential weather delays for our flights, we do our best to contact our passengers so that they may consider alternate transportation. We recommend contacting Seair prior to your flight and also allow yourself plenty of time to take alternate transportation if we cannot fly, so that you can still make your connecting flight.
