Running half-day, full day and two-day Rafting tours on the rivers of the Sea to Sky corridor. We have convenient starting points from several Vancouver, Whistler and Squamish Hotels. We operate 7 days a week and on weekends we offer morning and afternoon departures. During the Covid19 pandemic we are offering "Book a Boat" options on all of our day tours. This option allows guests to reserve a private raft for 4-6 people in order to raft safely within the comforts of their own bubble.

I brought a group of my staff to Whistler, and it was impossible to miss Canadian Outback Rafting's Elaho Exhilarator. Our guide, Matt, was exceptional (especially when he heard we partook in a bit too much wine the night before and suggested the majority of the boat jump out, into the rapids, as a hangover cure -- he was right, by the way!).
Despite being an overcast day the scenery was gorgeous, the rapids were scream-worthy, and the team bonding we experienced was irreplaceable. I cannot recommend Canadian Outback Rafting enough, especially Matt! We will be back, and next time I will bring the whole team.

My Wife, 5 children and myself attended the Canadian Outback Rafting Elaho Exhilarator white water rafting day trip. To say we enjoyed it would be an understatement!! The staff there, Matt, Evan, Jeremy and Alex where absolute professionals all the way.
We had Matt as our guide in our raft and he made our trip outstanding. He is pleasant, skilled and extremely knowledgeable not only about the river but also about the history of the area.
We would HIGHLY recommend this business to anyone wanting an exciting white water rafting experience !! 5 Stars all the way!

Everything was very well organized. The guides was excellent. They ensured that everyone was setup correctly with the gear they needed and provided a great safety briefing. The experience was fantastic. Alex was our guide and made the experience that much more enjoyable. If you are wanting to go rafting, I highly recommend Canadian Outback Rafting!

Alex was an awesome guide to be with on a raft. He made things fun with his jokes and informed us on the area, which was super interesting. The trip alone was exhilarating. I would recommend this trip to everyone and was one of the most thrilling things I have ever experienced. 5/5 👍🏼

Ryland was a fantastic guide who provided great positive energy and tailored the experience to suit our group of 6 friends aged 24-25.
Due to time constraints we booked the easier, more relaxed “family friendly” rafting experience but Ryland noticed the capability of our group and sought out the quicker rapids which we loved.
He also provided great local knowledge and a fantastic food recommendation.

First time ever on a river raft expedition and what a blast. The organization and attention to detail and safety was beyond impressive. They really run a tight ship. No pun intended.
We were blessed to have Gryffin as our guide. He made it fun and ensured we were safe and entertained the whole journey.
We even made friends who shared pics with us. Although we ordered the digitals from Canadian Outback because they better captured the action with their well-positioned photographer at various locations throughout the ride.
I would highly recommend taking one of the trips. No better way to spend a few hour s on the water soaking up Natural BC.

Our guide, Griffin, was great. While rafting he gave us interesting information about Whistler, the landscape and the ecosystem. The guides gave us good safety instructions prior to our departure on the rapids. Rapids weren’t too big, nobody was tossed out, so that’s good. Our group seemed to really enjoy the experience, I would recommend the company to anyone interested in rafting in Whistler.

My first time rafting and it was a great experience! Captain Shelbi did a great job and I felt safe the entire time with her instructions while going down the river. I highly recommended Canadian Outback Rafting! Great company and great people.

While I do not want to go into the multiple little problems resulting from lack of planning on this 10 day Tatshenshini trip, I will express my total surprise at the total lack of emergency preparedness of your company.
With no company emergency communication system, we had to rely on the personal unit brought by one of the river guides.
Seems to me your company has no plan in place to match the requirements of worksafeBC a stated in sections: G4.20.1: Working alone or in Isolation and G4.13 Emergency preparedness and response.
Related to these items, the company should have a plan in place to address item 29.5 Communication.
Canadian outback rafting is probably excellent and day and overnight trips in BC but should not claim expertise in long duration overnight trips in very remote areas.

We appreciate all feedback from our clients regarding our trips and are always looking for ways to improve. With regards to your comment about the multiple problems, we did reply to your email about this so we can address any concerns you may have but haven’t heard back from you about those yet.
With regards to the emergency communication device. We did have one on the trip that was carried by our guides. This is very typical for expeditions and is a requirement that we did fulfill. It was not for personal use of the guide but to be used for emergencies and checking in with our team on the ground for wellness checks. I am not sure where you got the information from that we did not supply one. In fact, the guides used the satellite communication device when adverse weather conditions meant that the flight to get you back from the expedition was canceled. This was outside of our control and was a decision made by an external flight company.
Relating to your comments about the worksafeBC requirements, we did meet the regulations by providing our guides with a communication device.
I would be happy to discuss any other concerns you may have about the trip further and we are always open to feedback. However, we do have to draw the line at false information being shared as we pride ourselves on safety being our top priority.
The Tatshenshini is an amazing river and I do hope you were able to enjoy your time there.

Kyle was amazing! Not only was he humorous, but he was extremely knowledgeable of the Canadian outback and British Columbia. He was very personable and having a guide with that much knowledge makes the trip much more enjoyable. 10/10 experience thanks to Kyle!

It is not required that you know how to swim to come out rafting with us. You will be provided with a Life Jacket that will help you float should you be in the water at any point. You will also be given a full safety briefing before getting on the water. Please let us know if you have any other questions.

You do not need a license to join one of our tours. Our guide staff are licensed by the British Columbia Raft Outfitters Association.
Yes groups from as small as 1 and up to 100 can book a tour.

You do have a few options to get your trip photos.
Option 1 is to pre-purchase the photo (or video) package when you make your reservation, so that you can make sure the photographer gets plenty of good photos of your group.
When you pre-purchase the photos, you also get a little extra refreshing beverage after the trip, on us!
Option 2 is to purchase the photos (or video) package after the trip when you return to our rafting base. We display the photos on a TV for you to have a look at them.
With option 1 and 2, you also get a $30 off per person discount coupon on your photo USB for the next time you come rafting!
If you're in a hurry after the trip, or are still undecided about getting the photos, you will have one last chance to purchase the photos online through our Smugmug link in our "thank you" email.

depending on how severe your motion sickness is, you can put on a scopolamine patch or sea-bands for the bus ride. The rafting part of the trip itself shouldn't give you trouble with motion sickness.

Hi there,
Good question. You have a couple options to get to Squamish from Vancouver.
1. We do have Vancouver departures, which leave from various hotels around downtown Vancouver. These rates can be found on our website but the adult rates are $174.99 in June and September and $184.99 for the Elaho Exhilarator in July and August.
2. You can take the Greyhound or the Pacific Coach, which will take you directly to Squamish. If you choose this option, we would be happy to pick you up from where the bus drops off in Squamish.
3. You can rent a car! The one hour drive from Vancouver to Squamish is along the most romantic highway in Canada and it's worth the drive.

Hello Kiam,
there is a minimum age to participate in all of our trips.
Minimum age for our Cheakamus Splash is 5 years, and participants must weigh at least 50lbs.
Minimum age for our Elaho Exhilarator and 2-Day Wilderness Expedition is 13 years, and participants must weigh at least 90lbs.
Unfortunately, we are not open throughout winter.
