About
FlyOver Canada utilizes state-of-the-art technology to give you the feeling of flight. You will hang suspended, feet dangling, before a 20-metre spherical screen while our film whisks you away on an exhilarating 8-minute journey across Canada, from east to west. Special effects, including wind, mist and scents, combine with the ride’s motion to create an unforgettable experience. At FlyOver Canada you will spend approximately 25 minutes getting introduced to our great country. You will first enter the pre-show area where you will be immersed in an audio-visual show of Canada "up close and personal" before heading to the boarding zone for your preflight briefing. You will then experience the unforgettable 8-minute Ultimate Flying Ride soaring over some of the most spectacular scenery the country has to offer. Open year round, 7 days a week. Conveniently located downtown at Canada Place.

Loved Soarin at Disney so we thought we’d love this. It’s ok, but we left disappointed. The Flyover Canada neglects to showcase the Eastern part of our country, not even our nations capital. Flyover Hawaii was good but our mist sprayer didn’t work. Visuals in both Flyovers were blurry. Regardless, a neat experience but I think we’ll stick to Disney for picture quality, content and price.

While the actual flyover portion of this experience was excellent, it is brief - only 7 minutes. Web site is misleading - while the total time is 25 minutes, most of that is spent waiting. The “pre-show” portion is poor quality.
We were disappointed in the value for the cost. Would recommend only if cost is “no object” for you. If you have to choose - rent electric bikes and cruise around Stanley Park. Much better value for your entertainment $!

The ride is great and the video is very impressive, feels like you are flying overhead. That said, for an eight-minute ride it is extremely expensive.

The FlyOver Canada show is an excellent experience that very closely mimics being actually there at the places, flying over stunningly beautiful landscapes and with the olfactory and tactile experience (smells and water mist) along with the movement, it truly feels like you have just flown over those places and seen them. Great value for money, I can recommend it to anyone wanting a unique and breathtaking experience!

It’s such a great idea but with what they charge the movie should be twice as long. Should have flown over more of Canada.

Four of us went to the Flyover Canada. It cost us $150 and the film is 8 minutes! The experience is supposed to be 25 minutes, but that includes a strange pre-show showing people building jumping (aka parkour?), and I'm not sure what that has to do with Canada. Are we all physically amazing athletes here? Have you looked around? lol The rest of the time is getting a "safety" briefing and walking around and getting into the seats. The experience itself is awesome, but in my opinion too short. So much more of Canada could have been highlighted, if it was a bit longer, it would be worth it. It reminds me of a ride at an amusement park.

Great experience! The whole family loved it, only thing is we wished it was just a bit longer and the pre movie/video in the first room was unnecessary and didn't really make sense as to why we needed to watch it. Would have rather used that time added to the ride.
All and all super great ride and worth the trip/money.

So long as you understand what you're getting, you will avoid disappointment.
For your $30+ per adult ticket (surge pricing) you will stand in a room for approximately 6 minutes and watch a video that is displayed in full 360 degrees around the room. The video will feature 3 characters doing different things in typically Canadian scenes (one person is climbing a mountain and swimming in a lake, one is a little girl flying a kite in a wheat field and another is running around in an urban setting). The video is disjointed and a bit stereotypical of "Canadiana culture". From there, you'll move to another area in which you'll be put in lines and shown a briefing (3-5 minutes) on what to expect. Finally you'll be moved in to the simulator.
The simulator is interesting. We did the Canada experience and it starts at one coast and shows scenes from across Canada. The simulator moves side to side and up and down and made both my wife and I mildly nauseous. The nausea quickly passes after the film. The film lasts 8-10 minutes and is truly the only part of the experience that is worthwhile - the rest is filler. The film is low-def quality which is disappointing. It felt like a typical Clifton Hill fun house in Niagara Falls. If we ignored the cost and the greed of surge pricing, we both left with a moment of pride in being Canadian.

I love it every time I visit Fly Over Canada. It never gets old. This visit I took 3 grandchildren and they loved it also. Such a cool feeling to be flying over our country. I just wish the trip was longer with a few more landmarks.

My daughter is 2 and my son 4, would they be able to join us? Or are they too small for the harness/seat set up?

My daughter and I are visiting and would love to try this but are not great with 'rides'.
Is this like Soarin' at Disney?
We were fine on that and went back to it several times!
Many thanks!

It is exactly like Soarin’ at Disney. You are in a bench with seat belts and are moved forward so that the IMAX screen surrounds you more, but the motion after that is all on the screen. You can shut your eyes and know you are still.

Hi. I have seen the flyover but want to know the places visited in the film so I can plan my next trip.

I wouldn’t say it is a good way to pick places to visit. It is more a generic flyover of typical sights in Canada. Use Trip Advisor reviews and comments or the Tourist info sites for suggestions. Vancouver tourist information centre is very helpful too. We just did the bus toWhistler. I don’t think tours to get there are good value. We paid $35 return on Epic rides. Good service. Have fun!

How does the discount for Local’s work? I am local and want to bring a visitor. Online when I enter the code it applies it to both tickets. Is that right or will we have an issue at the door? Thanks!

Our granddaughter is 4 1/2 years old but meets the height requirement... is it possible for an adult to ride with her in her pod? Do children this young often do this ride?
Thankd

I'm not sure about the rules but it's not really like a pod it's a seat each with a safety bar that came down from above and held them in similar to roller coasters.
I'm sure if she meets the height requirement however that it would be feasible to get her on the ride.
How much would it cost for 2 adults & 3 kids (ages 11, 12 & 13) to experience this?

Adult tickets are around $21 and children 12 and under (the 13 yr old could pass for 12yr) is $15. Enjoy this attraction it's a lot of fun.

how long is the waiting line on sat. and at the end of may will is be cold out side if we have to wait
FlyOver Canada
Vancouver2 contributions
Hi Cuong N -
Thank you for reaching out to us, that is an excellent question. While we can't confirm weather, the typical highs for May is 19 degrees Celcius and lows of 9 degrees Celcius. While we do provide sheltered waiting areas, but still remain partially exposed to the elements and recommending dressing for the conditions.
We regularly experience wait times over weekends, public holidays, summer and seasonal events. We would recommend purchasing FastLane tickets to secure your preferred time and minimise possible wait times.
