Playland is part of the Pacific National Exhibition (PNE) fairgrounds in Vancouver and is BC’s most famous amusement park. Playland features exhilarating rides and attractions for all ages, exciting midway games, mini-golf, a climbing wall, haunted mansion and a variety of delicious food.

Playland offers over 35 rides and attractions, including four exciting roller coasters. One of the most loved and talked about attractions at Playland is the historic Wooden Roller Coaster. This spectacular coaster has been operating at the park since 1958 and is cited as a “Coaster Classic” by the American Coaster Enthusiasts organization, which is an honour shared by only 22 other wooden coasters in the world.

For the more adventurous visitors, Playland offers 15 extreme rides and attractions including the extreme swing ride Atmosfear, which takes you up 218 feet while spinning 70km/hour and The Beast, cited as Canada’s most extreme pendulum ride.

For those looking to experience a bit of thrill with the entire family, Playland features 17 family and kids rides including three new family rides for 2016, a spinning coaster, Bug Whirled, a peddle operated ride, Flutterbye and a tower, Dizzy Drop. For those hoping to capture amazing views of Vancouver, the Westcoast Wheel ferris wheel will provide just that! Of course, a visit to Playland is not complete without a ride on the historic Wooden Roller Coaster.

Unique to Playland is Kids Playce, an area designated for parents and families with children between the ages of 2-10. Kids Playce provides the perfect setting for families looking to spend some time together in a clean, safe and kid-friendly environment.

Bring your friends and family out to Playland for a full day of fun!

Playland is open from May 6 to September 17.

I got this mixed up with the pne this is just playland food and rides. The PNE is late August and has a home to win and buildings with home stuff to buy.

Took my daughter on a Sunday and for a weekend it was only mildly busy. My only complaint would be that when it got really busy they didn't increase the number of coasters running to accommodate other than that it was a great day!! Barely had to wait unless it was for a coaster which I understand since they are... More

One of our children doesn't like most of the rides so it was challenging with him but mostly we all enjoyed it. We weren't sure what was going on to begin with and ended up following a gentleman to a parking area at his house. I've never seen anything like this and didn't understand. I would definitely avoid that in... More

The thrill seeker that wants a good scare, look no further! There are several levels of scare here from tot friendly to fearless daredevil.I try to combine this trip with the PNE so I can see the annual prize home and maybe a live concert as well as enjoy some food.If your schedule is well organized you can also take... The rides are very fun and its nice to go slightly off season so it isn't as busy. The food is great too but expensive. Admission is also pricey.

Waste of money. All the rides are spinning and it just simply isn't fun. Being someone who has visited amusement parks all around North America . There is nothing play land has to offer especially for how much you pay for entry. Plus it is simply dirty. Vancouver can do so much better especially with the weather they have all... More

Our ages ranged from 66 to 3 and we all had a great time! For thrill seekers there are some unusual and exciting rides and for grandchildren there is an excellent range of rides which they can go on by themselves. The cost of entry was very reasonable compared with some of the better known amusement parks and the staff... More
